I'm excited to meet new pets and their people! While I'm new to Rover, I'm not new to caring for animals. I have over 20 years of professional experience caring for pets and homes, along with a lifetime of loving animals of my own. Animals have been part of my life since childhood. I've cared for dogs of every size, age, and personality, as well as cats, birds, and other small animals. Most recently, I spent four years living in Hawaii with my own dog, cat, and bird, and have cared for pets throughout the Bay Area, including Marin, San Francisco, Oakland, Contra Costa, and Napa. I'm an outdoor enthusiast who loves mountain biking, hiking, camping, and exploring nature. If your dog enjoys adventure and you're comfortable with it, I'm happy to include longer walks or outdoor adventures tailored to their energy level. I enjoy keeping active dogs both physically and mentally engaged, while always respecting each pet's individual needs and routine. During COVID, while my massage therapy practice was on pause, I got a certification in canine massage, deepening my understanding of canine anatomy, mobility, and comfort. This experience has been especially valuable when caring for senior dogs, anxious pets, and those who benefit from right amount of exercise and a calm, gentle touch. Every pet is different, and I take pride in carefully following your instructions so they feel safe, loved, and at home while you're away. My goal is to give you complete peace of mind, knowing your beloved companion is receiving attentive, experienced care. I've always believed animals are some of life's greatest gifts. To me, they are like guardian angels on Earth. They teach us unconditional love, presence, and joy. It's a privilege to earn their trust and care for them as if they were my own.

Every pet is unique, so I take the time to learn their routine, personality, and preferences before you leave. I carefully follow your instructions regarding feeding, medications, exercise, favorite walking routes, sleeping arrangements, and any special needs to help your pet feel safe and comfortable. Whether your companion enjoys long walks and outdoor adventures, playtime, enrichment activities, or simply relaxing on the couch, I tailor my care to what makes them happiest. I believe consistency and patience help pets feel secure while their family is away.

Wow, was Monica above and beyond our expectations- the Care, the expertise, being prompt and timely, and having an easy flow of communication, really set her apart. This is somebody that is professional, but you can tell really has love for pets and animals and has a methodology as well as just a pure love for taking care and being with our pet pets. I feel like I solve the big problem by hiring Monica to look after my dogs and cats and was just relieved and happy that she cared for them as much as we do. Highest recommendation.
Monica is a wonderful pet care giver. She has cared for my dog NAIA whenever I’ve had to be away. NAIA loves her and is always excited to see her. Schedule
Pet care fits naturally into my daily life. I currently work part-time with a flexible schedule, which allows me to plan my work around the pets I'm caring for whenever possible. I intentionally limit my commitments so I can provide each pet with the time, attention, exercise, and companionship they deserve. Whether your pet enjoys long walks, playtime, quiet companionship, or simply keeping their normal routine, I'm happy to adapt my schedule to meet their needs. I understand that consistency helps pets feel safe and comfortable while you're away, and I strive to make their time with me feel as familiar and stress-free as possible. Clear communication is important to me, and I'll keep you updated with photos and messages so you can enjoy your time away knowing your pet is happy, loved, and well cared for.
