I am currently unable to have pets stay in my home, but I am more than willing to stay in your home if that's better for your pet. I want to make sure your babies are taken care of the way you would take care of them. I would like for their routine to stay as close to normal as possible while you're away. I loved having my sweet Dexter with me, and it’s been tough since he passed.

I want to know if your pet has any certain needs, if they get along with other pets, and if they are high or low energy. I need to know if there's any aggression, and if so, what triggers it. I would like to know breed, but just because it will be something to get excited over. I will take care of ANY breed. Cats too!
A typical day
I really enjoy hiking and taking pets with me. It's more fun than walking around the neighborhood, but I do that as well. Playing fetch is always fun. I would love to hike Lake Fayetteville, and Weddington since they are so close.

Pet care experience
I have been taking care of animals since I was a little girl. I had my first cat when I was 5 years old. I have a dog named Dexter that is 7 years old, we rescued him when he was abandoned at about 2 weeks old. He is a sweet boy and does well with other animals. I've had so many other sweet animals (including horses) that were with me forever. All of my animals have been rescued. I have experience with all different breeds, growing up we had mutts, but also had Rottweiler's, Doberman, German Shepard's, Great Danes. I have personal experience with itty bitty dogs, and great big dogs. I would love to take care of your babies and love them like my own. Bully breeds too! I am comfortable medicating, bathing, walking, and anything else pets may need. I was an EMT for many years so I am really comfortable with anything medical, even with pets. My sweet Dexter crossed the rainbow bridge in February, 2024. He’s loved and missed so much.

Where to began? First off you won’t be sorry having Monica tend to your fur babies needs! My fur babies love the attention they receive from her. They want to be under her feet or in her lap or just get hugs from her. Monica treats my fur babies as her own and I believe my fur babies would want it that way too, because of the attention they get from her( LOL ). They love her and she loves them. Monica cares and love them to the point they forget you (the owners) are gone. ☺️
Monica house sat for me and took care of my very anxious Aussie, my new puppy, and my cat. My dog, who usually hates when I go away, was unphased. She kept me up to date on everyone and I came home to happy relaxed pets! It’s obvious she loves animals and being older and settled really made me feel comfortable that I can count on her in the future! Five stars!
