I prefer to care for pets in their own homes, where they’re most comfortable and routines can stay familiar. Before a sit, I like to understand your pet’s routines, personality, and any known triggers so I can help them feel safe and supported. How do they do on a leash? How do they respond to other animals? Is there anything that causes them stress? I also love knowing what brings them joy-favorite toys, walking routes, scratch spots, or bedtime rituals. The little things matter, and I try to honor them.
A typical day
If your pet enjoys being out and about, I’m happy to include them in walks or outdoor time, weather permitting. If they’re more low-key, I’m just as content to spend quiet time indoors giving belly rubs or sharing company. I really enjoy getting to know animals-their quirks, preferences, energy-and offering them a safe, connected experience while you’re away.

Pet care experience
I grew up with animals and had my own pets for many years, including two beloved min pins who passed in 2016. While I haven’t adopted again (yet), pet sitting has become a meaningful way to stay connected with animals. I’ve been caring for pets locally since 2022, including dogs, cats, fish, and the occasional small mammal. Over time, I’ve developed a strong ability to read both people and animals, which helps me respond with attunement and care to each pet’s unique needs and personality.

I had a good experience with Monica! She house sat and took good care of my two dogs. Communication was easy and timely, and I really appreciated the updates while I was away. My dogs were happy and well cared for when I returned, and my home was in great shape. I’d definitely book her again and would recommend her!
Monica was an exceptional sitter! She sent frequent updates and pictures, prioritized our pets safety and happiness, and left the house spotless! She was very flexible when our trip had to be extended due to flight issues, and was all around a lovely person! Cannot recommend enough and will definitely be booking again!
