Safety, trust & environment

I believe that every animal has their own needs, and I know every pet parent has their own rules. All home rules will be respected (e.g. not allowed on the couch at home? Not allowed on the couch here). Weekdays we have doggy daycare- I allow up to 5 dogs as long as it's the right mix. Our 2-3 regulars are well trained and very welcoming. Before booking a stay for boarding or daycare, I will require you come to the house with your pup(s) to check out the space and make sure it's the right fit. I will outline my usual day for the client, and we can add or subtract anything that’s needed for them. I have puzzles, toys, lots of comfy blankets, and dog beds. I’m happy to work on any training that they may need- and at the end of the day, I’m here to provide trusted service. I will always treat the pets in my home as my own, and will treat them with respect and love.

Information Monica & Jeremy K. would like to know about your pet

Rule #1 for boarding or daycare: must get along with the pack. Schedule and expectations. When do they eat, and how much? What is their normal potty schedule? Any trigger points? (i.e. small children, cats, resource guarding, etc.) What do I need to hide (shoes for example)? General rules? For example, if you do not allow them on your couch I will continue that training, otherwise I do allow respectful animals on my furniture. Are there any behavioral issues? I have been training dogs for more than two decades and would be happy to work with them on any commands or boundaries needed.

A typical day

Each experienced is tailored to your specific pets needs. We have 3 acres of land in a quiet neighborhood, and live within a ten minute drive of dozens of gorgeous hikes. I have puzzles and brain teasers for dogs of all sizes, as well as multiple toys and dog beds on each floor. I like to try to keep their routine as normal as possible while they are in my care. We work on socialization and encourage healthy playtime, but also encourage quiet time, where everyone can settle. You'd be surprised at how quiet it is here... usually :)

Pet care experience

When I was 8 years old, I started an animal sitting business in my neighborhood. By the time I was 10, I had over 50 clients, with animals ranging from bird to dog, cat to guinea pig, wild outdoor foxes to indoor sugar gliders. I learned a lot in the ten years that I had these clients (by the time I graduated from high school, I had over 200!), but the number one thing I learned is that every animal is different. Even if they are the same breed, each animal has different motivations, different needs. I started working as a dog trainer, specifically for behavioral issues, in my early 20s. I have a special place in my heart for dogs that need some paw holding, structure, and reassurance. That's actually why I took my most recent dog, Poppy. No one else wanted her, and the pound that I pulled her from had already shaved her leg to euthanize her that very hour. It took me years to get her to be the amazing, confident, and loving dog she became. And it was well worth it, and I learned so much! Poppy sadly passed in 2025 at 14 years old. It's too quiet here without a dog, so I started sitting. What has happened since has been nothing short of miraculous, watching an ever changing dog pack of pups that need love, attention, and structure while their parents are away at work or on vacation. We would love to add your pup to the crew! We have no children, no pets, a fenced in yard, and a 3 story safe space for any type of animal that needs care (with baby gates at every stair.)

At first, I struggled with the thought of leaving my grand dog (Zyla is my daughter’s dog), because Zyla really is treated like a family member and Zyla is our everything but Monica was wonderful. Monica sent multiple photos throughout the day which reassured us that Zyla was ok. From the photos I could tell that Zyla was having a blast. Zyla made a new furry friend and two human friends. Monica not only sent me photos but updated me throughout the day on Zyla’s activities which eased my worry as well. I can tell Zyla had the time of her life because she fell fast asleep on her ride home. Monica made Zyla’s first doggy daycare experience wonderful for both Zyla and her owners. I am definitely scheduling more future dates with Monica for both doggie daycare and boarding.

They treated my pup so well. Honestly couldn't have asked for a better sitter. Kept my pup busy with puzzles, and outdoor activities. Made their home feel like his own. So grateful for them. I trust them to watch Cash in the future.

Monica was so great with Frisco! He loved her from minute 1 and I loved that she kept us updated on her time with him with fun pics and details. I feel so good about having Monica to rely on when we are away from home!
