Happy Dog Happy Life
As many other pet sitters, I love dogs. I always have, since I can remember. I owned dogs my whole life! I have enjoyed watching over friend’s, family’s, and neighbor’s dogs. I also volunteered at the Friends of Upland Animal Shelter because my heart goes out the uncared pets. I spent my weekends, and after-school hours playing, walking, cleaning, and training dogs for good home habits. What I believe makes me unique is my special care for dogs. I lost my furry friend Fluffy to kidney disease last year in November. She needed lots of care. Not only did she need special meals throughout the day, but she needed assistance for everyday tasks due to her also having arthritis and being 18 years of age. Like most pet owners, I was very protective of my fur baby and would always question anyone who would stay with her and question anything that would be given for medication. I know what it’s like to want to have the most honest and caring sitter. I also know what it’s like for a dog to want to have its needs fulfilled. Fluffy’s needs would always be fulfilled by me whether it was 1 pm or 3 am. I always made sure to let her out 4-5 times a night to pee. I would wake up 3 hours before work to prep her meals for the day, massage her, a small walk, and some hugs before starting work. Working from home made the last months with her such a blessing because I was able to work and care for my furry friend. Losing her was losing a piece of my heart. It’s been over 2 years now since I lost her and I now just adopted a small dog. If you are a pet owner who questions the people who are caring for your pet, asks for videos of your pet, and wants constant updates on your pet, then I am the perfect candidate for you. I understand the nervousness of leaving your pet with someone and the wanting of the perfect sitter. I treat all dogs as they were my own just like how I treated Fluffy. Depending on your pet's needs, I am available for sitting all week. I understand some pets may need a certain amount of exercise and mental stimulation based on breed and/or pet’s personality. I live in a house with my family. Our yard is huge and fenced with brick walls and iron gates. The gates are locked 24/7 for the safety of my sister's kids and dogs during playtime. Our home is divided and I live alone in the studio connected to the main house. My sister's dog is a white-haired dachshund and she has a weird personality. She loves to play with all dogs of all sizes, but is a barker at unknown people. She is a sweet, funny, and playful pup. In the main house lives my parents, sister, and her kids.

Monica is super responsive, caring, efficient and open to help with any needs specific to the booking. She communicated back immediately when I was looking for last-minute help. Our dogs were happy at her house (she updated with photos regularly), and it was easy to see how wonderful she is with animals. I would recommend anyone in my area to contact Monica first for any of your pet sitting needs.
Our dog really enjoys going to Monica's house...in fact, as we pull into Monica's driveway the tail starts wagging. Monica's dog is a great playmate. And Monica always goes above and beyond, in this case as I was suffering a badly sprained ankle and broken home water heater, Monica insisted on bringing our dog back to our house! Monica works from home so the dogs are always supervised, which we like. So Monica is definitely our dog sitter for the future!
Monica was great with our fur babies and kept us informed the entire time we were away. This was our first time using Rover and will continue to use it because of our experience with Monica!

Schedule
Starting August I will be working part time at home and part time out of the home. Working 2 days out of the home during the week.

I follow any instructions given by the pet owner and will always do a meet and greet so that I can assure my dog and your dog feel comfortable together.

A typical day
If Okayed by owner, there is a little dog park a few blocks from my house where I love to take dogs to socialize and play fetch. I also like to play games in my back yard that include lots of toys and running. I also believe that mental simulation is important so I like to have dogs work for their food by hiding food within a treat mat.
