Hello, I have worked as a vet tech and wildlife rescuer while applying to vet school. Even though life changes prevented me from attending vet school I still love to help animals. I have 2 rescued Jack Russels that make me smile every day. I help these 2 by making their food, providing medications and keeping them active so that they stay healthy. I have helped our past 3 dogs before our 2 current ones (all jack russell mixes) deal with kidney disease, cancer and doggie dementia. My fiancee has built ramps in our bedroom and out our back door to assist all of our senior dogs. I grew up with cats but unfortunately our dogs do not get along with cats. I also have a pet ball python that is about 30 years old.

Schedule
I work from home so am pretty much here 24/7 Monday through Friday. On the weekends I may go out but typically not for more than a couple hours at a time. With advance notice, I would easily make sure that my schedule is free to allow me to be at home. I do not have kids.

Safety, trust & environment
I have 2 jack russels that are actually laid back contrary to the breed's reputation. They do what I do. I rest, they rest. I play, they play. They both get along with other dogs but I would do a meet and greet to make sure everyone gets along. I already give medications to my dogs so if yours need some as well I am fine with that. I have provided in home fluids thru an IV and weekly shots to one of our past dogs so I am comfortable with that as well if needed.

A typical day
I will follow any specific instructions if provided. Otherwise, I have a fenced in backyard for lots of play time. I can also walk your dog if desired. My 2 dogs have more toys than they can ever play with at 1 time including balls, nyla bones and stuffed animals. They typically sleep in my office while I work then definitely let me know when it is meal time and break time.
