Caring for your Pet is Family
A Little About Me Animals have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I’ve had Chocolate Labs, Chesapeake Bay Retrievers, and cats, and while raising my five kids, our home also included hamsters and fish. Needless to say, I’m very comfortable with a busy household full of pets! A few years ago, I had the opportunity to spend more time at home with our own dog, a Bulldog/Boxer/Shepherd mix. That experience really reminded me how much dogs thrive on consistency, patience, companionship, and simply having someone around who makes them feel safe and comfortable. I believe pet care is about more than food and walks. I pay attention to your pet’s personality, body language, routine, and individual needs. I’m comfortable with crates, following existing training routines, recognizing when a dog is anxious or needs some space, and giving medications when needed. My 30+ years working in Quality and Risk taught me to be dependable, detail-oriented, and a good communicator. I bring those same qualities to caring for your pets. I’ll follow your instructions, keep you informed, and treat your pet with the same patience and respect I’d want someone to show mine. Most importantly, I want you to feel comfortable and relaxed knowing your pet is being cared for by someone who genuinely enjoys spending time with animals. ❤️

I am currently a homemaker looking for a new career and my love and history of owning animals (since the age of 11) makes aware of the importance of availability.

Safety, trust & environment
I care for my own animal with a routine first. Animals feel happy and safe with routines. My dog knows when it's time to go outside, time for a treat and when to play. If that's not built into the daily schedule then that can take a while to acclimate depending on the animal. If I were in a client's home I should not be caught off guard on what they expect and or what they would like to set as a routine. For instance, if I have 2 visits for one home and their animal(s) we would need to know if there is feeding, water, medicine and walking or exercising during each visit. If I notice they are not eating or drinking or playful during those visits I would want to discuss with the client to consider whether or not there are options to help their pet thrive with nutrition. I am also aware of foods that should not be provided to the dog, nor would I bring my own treats unless it was approved by Rover and Client.
Pets
A typical day
Outside of going for walks. Love playing frisbee or ball with a dog. If the weather is good can play outside with water and maybe a little pool.
