I grew up on a farm in Kentucky and have always had animals. Cats, dogs, horses, mules, goats, parrots, ducks, fish, chicken, rabbits, you name it! After moving to Florida, the pet fam downsized considerably to just cats and dogs. Having recently retired from a career in real estate, I completely understand how hard it is to be apart from your furry companions. My goal is to provide peace of mind for pets and their humans when they have to be separated due work or travelling. It's hard for your pets to be apart from you, that is why I will do my absolute best to make sure they are comfortable, happy and receiving lots of attention. When you book with me, you get not one but two old people to care for your pets! My husband Bruce is semi-retired, but is just as much an animal person. Growing up in Miami, he always had reptiles - iguanas, lizards, snakes, turtles - because he was allergic. When he outgrew his allergies the family added dogs. There will be no shortage of pets and playing when Bruce is around. I am often asked why I, of all people, currently have no animals at home. Well, I would need to go back to work full time to supplement our fixed retirement income. Then, our pets would be left at home all day while we work. No bueno! That's why we decided to be "empty nesters" ourselves but offer our help to others who do not have the time flexibility that we do now. *Actually over 50 years each, but who's counting!
