- Bachelors of Science in Zoology with Minor in Animal Behavior from MSU (2008) - Finished 2 of the 4 year curriculum at MSU College of Veterinary Medicine (2008 - 2012); Obtained vast clinical knowledge of animal health and proficient comprehension of normal and abnormal signs and symptoms in a pet's well-being. - Started volunteering and working at animal hospitals and clinics since high school; Over 15 years experience working in various positions from kennel aid, reception, veterinary assistance, and veterinary technician; Able to understand when an animal is hurting, injured, sick, and needs medical attention as well as when a pet is bright, alert, healthy, and enjoying a good quality of life. - Volunteered at multiple animal shelters and non-profit animal rescue groups, including Michigan Animal Rescue League, the Oakland County Animal Shelter, Humane Society in Ingham County, MSU CVM Wildlife Ward, Raptor Rehabilitation Center, and Mid-Michigan Cat Rescue. - Previous owner of 3 dogs (Black Labrador/Irish Setter mix, and 2 Chocolate Labradors), multiple rats and pocket pets, birds, chinchillas, and fish; Current owner of 2 cats. - Experience working in pet stores, such as PetSmart while in high school with various positions as cashier, dog bather, and stocking; Acquired large knowledge of pet products, bathing, and animal care. - Vast training with pet sitting and care since in high school; Has done pet sitting for multiple family members, friends, and neighbors.
