My walking routes are generally in neighborhoods with quieter streets, so it creates less stress and more safety for the dog. I normally end the walk by finding a park or a large grassy area to play with the dog and give them more exercise. If the dog needs extra care to stay & hang out longer, I have a grassy front & backyard with a long leash attached to the house. My dog has visited my college house before & has loved every minute because my roommates are also big dog lovers!
