An All-Animal Lover!
Pet care experience
I have been taking care of animals since I lived on a small farm when I was four years old. That being said, I grew up with a family who took in many different cats, dogs, bunnies, turtles, sugar gliders… you name it and we probably had it. Specifically, my family has had two blind dogs, and I currently own one of my own, so I am well acquainted with dogs with disabilities. Also, my current dog has something rare called Addison’s disease, so I am well aware of how important timely medication and attention to detail is. I’ve given many animals their medications and have dealt with very elderly animals as well. In fact, I just said goodbye to my 17 year old dachshund. So, I am extremely experienced in being patient and careful for our retired fur babies. Finally, I raised two lab puppies to be guide dogs for the blind, so I am able to follow a strict training schedule if you have one in place.

Safety, trust & environment
Currently, I have two black labs in my home that are not crated and are big couch potatoes. I don’t have a very big yard at all, but there is some green space in the front and back of my home. I also live down the block from two parks that I often take my dogs to. Also, I frequently take my one lab who is not medically disabled on mile or two long walks throughout the day, so your pup will be well worn out.
Information Molly O. would like to know about your pet
I am well-equipped to handle dogs with special needs or medical attention, so just let me know your routine or any medications they need and I will happily administer them. I also am aware that many pet parents have funny quirks that they like their pet to have, as do I with my dogs. So I will happily oblige whatever request you have for your dog. I do not have any preference for dog breeds and love them all. I also really love cats! Unfortunately, I don’t believe my landlord will allow cats but I am happy to do drop-in visits.
A typical day
When I watch your dog we will go on however many walks that you typically go on, or that your dog is looking for. Throughout the day, I will play with toys with them (if that is safe for them and they don’t destroy them) and play mind – stimulating games that work their brain and burn their energy as well. With my own dogs, we often do snuffle mats, play hide and seek, and work on training exercises that tire their brain out!
