Lifelong dog owner and lover!

Graduate Student & Lifelong Dog Lover 🐾 Hi, I’m Molly! I’m a graduate student in Early Education studying full-time remotely, and walking dogs helps me make ends meet while I gain classroom experience. I’ve been a dog owner and sitter for 20+ years, with experience caring for all breeds and ages—from energetic puppies to senior dogs. I live with my friendly 1.5-year-old Basenji, Reggie, and we walk daily (rain or shine!). I’d love to find regular clients for early morning walks (4:30–6:30 AM) or after 2:30 PM, but I’m also available for same-day, one-off check-ins and walks when you need last-minute help. I’m responsible, active, and treat every pup like family. 🐶💛

Dog Walking • juil. 12, 2025

Molly was able to help us out in a pinch and came to walk our dog Frannie same day. She was very communicative and friendly. It is very clear she has a love for dogs! We definitely recommend her!

Molly is a very reliable, professional and trust worthy person. Her love of dogs and all other animals is very evident. She has a dog herself that she treats like her child. I would highly recommend Molly as my pet sitter.

Molly is gentle, responsible, and naturally gifted when it comes to dog care. She has a strong intuition for reading each dog’s unique temperament and tailors her approach to meet their individual needs. With a lifelong love of animals and hands-on experience caring for dogs since her youth, she brings both confidence and compassion to every interaction. Molly strikes a thoughtful balance between keeping things fun and engaging while never taking unnecessary risks — always prioritizing safety, comfort, and joy.

I highly recommend Molly Kivi to walk your dog. She has the sweetest dog Reggie who is very well trained and super friendly with people. He is very clean and in top shape. She will take super care of your dog! You couldn’t find a better person than Molly to care for your pet. You will be so happy that you chose her! She’s your best choice!! Maureen McCann

Molly is a dog owner herself who cares diligently for her own dog, Reggie. Her pure Basenji is a happy and well taken care of dog. She is ALWAYS walking him. She knows by studying the particular breed of what to expect behavior-wise. Molly is a responsible and just person when it comes to work. If she is entrusted with someone else's dog, she will care and protect that dog from all dangers as if it were her own dog. You will like Molly :)

Safety, trust & environment

Safety-First, Thoughtful Pet Care in a Calm and Controlled Environment For every pet care job—whether it’s dog walking, drop-in visits, or in-home hosting—I approach each responsibility with a safety-first mindset. I begin by assessing the environment, checking for any potential hazards, and observing the dog's temperament, energy level, and overall health to ensure they’re set up for a positive experience. I come fully prepared with all the essentials: leashes, treats, food (if needed), cozy beds and blankets, separate water bowls, poop bags, and anything else your pup might need to feel safe and comfortable. I believe dogs thrive in calm, predictable environments. As the walker or sitter, I take the lead in maintaining a peaceful, structured atmosphere where your dog can feel secure, enjoy their time, and have fun—all while staying under steady and attentive supervision.

Pets

A typical day

I create a structured, engaging, and loving routine that keeps pets happy, healthy, and safe. Each day is thoughtfully planned around their needs and your preferences. Here's what a typical day includes: Morning routine (5 AM – 8 AM): Wake-up, first walk of the day, and breakfast Midday walk (11 AM – 2 PM): A short stroll for exercise, potty break, and a change of scenery Evening walk (6 PM – 10 PM): A longer walk through the neighborhood or nearby trail for winding down the day Special outings to the woods, beach, or parks — always with tick checks and extra safety measures Plus, lots of fun and care throughout the day: Playtime favorites like fetch, tug-of-war, or toy toss Plenty of snuggles, rubs, and ear scratches tailored to your pet’s comfort level Scheduled meals and clean water, with healthy treats as approved Optional grooming add-ons: Nail trim or shaping: $30 Gentle bath with hypoallergenic shampoo: $50 I always lead with a safety-first mindset while creating a calm, joyful, and loving environment where your pet feels like part of the family.

To provide the highest level of care, I like to understand your pet’s personality, routine, and any special needs in advance. Here’s what I ask depending on the type of service: For Walks: Does your dog pull on the leash? That’s no problem — I just like to know in advance so I can walk them safely and comfortably. Should they interact with other dogs or stay focused on the walk? I prioritize safety and tailor walks to match your preferences. Are they not feeling well or taking medication? I can accommodate most health needs with clear communication ahead of time. For House Sitting: Is your dog okay around my own dog, Reggie (a calm and friendly Basenji)? Are there routines or comfort items that help your dog settle in — like a blanket or shirt from home? I treat your home with the same respect I give to your pets. I follow your rules closely and ensure your space stays secure, clean, and cared for. For Drop-In Visits: Please share your pet’s temperament, quirks, and needs — it helps me connect with them and make our time enjoyable and comforting. For Extended Stays: My pricing reflects the premium level of care I provide. I limit how many clients I take so your pet and home receive focused, professional attention. Here’s what’s included: Utmost respect for your home and house rules Discretion and security are a priority — I treat your space with care and privacy Extra household help — I’m happy to organize, tidy, or assist with light cleaning as needed Careful communication, flexible support, and full attention to your pet’s emotional and physical well-being Please confirm if you’re comfortable with Reggie staying with me during the sit The more I know, the more I can make your pet’s experience (and yours!) smooth, safe, and joy-filled.
