In my home, someone is almost always around. My dad works from home and I have school for a minimum of 2 hours in the morning. In my clients homes, I take time out of my day to spend time with their animals, and work according to the animals schedule, not mine.

I always want to know breed, age, size, and temperament, as well as how it behaves around other dogs, people, and any potential triggers. I want to know the dog’s daily routine, including its feeding schedule, bathroom habits, and exercise needs. It’s also important for me to find out if the dog is trained, housebroken, or responds to specific commands. I ask about any health conditions, allergies, or medications, and make sure I have the vet’s contact information and emergency protocols. Finally, I clarify where the dog sleeps, any areas it’s not allowed in, and how to reach the owner if I have questions.

Pet care experience
I have been taking care of dogs and other animals for about 5 years. I have neighbors and family friends that I dog sit for and walk their dogs. Family friends, coworkers, and even travel agents come to me for puppy/animal care!
