While my schedule doesn’t allow me to have pets of my own right now, I’ve found so much joy and balance through dog walking and pet sitting.

Safety, trust & environment
When caring for pets in my own home or my clients’ homes, I prioritize making their pets feel as safe, comfortable, and loved as possible. I follow any specific routines or instructions closely. Whether it’s feeding schedules, medication, walks, or favorite toys and treats, I take time to build trust with each animal, moving at their pace, especially if they’re shy or anxious. I also keep the home tidy and treat the space with respect, just as I would want someone to do in my own home. Communication is key, so I regularly send photo updates and notes to keep you informed and reassured while you're away. My goal is to make sure your pet feels calm and cared for, and that you feel confident knowing they’re in good hands.
Information Molly D. would like to know about your pet
I like to get a clear understanding of your pet’s routine, personality, and any special needs ahead of time. It’s helpful to know: - Feeding schedule and dietary restrictions - Any medications or health concerns - Energy level and exercise needs - Favorite toys, activities, or calming routines - How they do on walks (e.g., leash pulling, reactivity to other dogs) - Any behaviors to be aware of (e.g., anxiety, barking, chewing, jumping) - How they usually do when left alone - House rules (e.g., furniture, crate use, treat limits) - Any other helpful information The more I know upfront, the better I can keep your pet happy, safe, and on a routine that feels familiar and comforting to them. I want to make sure the experience is smooth and stress-free for both you and your pet!
A typical day
I love tailoring activities to each pet’s personality and energy level! For dogs who love to be active, we’ll go on long walks, play fetch, or explore nearby parks and trails (with your permission, of course). For more relaxed or older pets, I’m happy to spend time cuddling, offering gentle play, or engaging in low-key enrichment activities like puzzle toys or treat games. I also enjoy working on basic training cues or mental stimulation activities if that’s part of your routine (teaching sit, wait, find it, etc.) My goal is to make sure your pet feels engaged, happy, and loved while you're away, whether that means a playful adventure or cozy companionship.

Shelter Volunteer & Dog Enthusiast
Pet care experience
Hi, nice to meet you! I'm Molly and I’m a PhD student in Special Education with a deep love for animals and a background in both volunteering at animal shelters and working with children with developmental disabilities. I have taken care of my parent’s rescue dogs since 2010 - 1 chiweenie mix and 1 corgi/dachshund/shepherd mix, who are now 17 years old and 12 years old, respectively. They live with my parents, but whenever I visit, I absolutely love taking care of my sweet fur babies. I make sure they have frequent potty breaks and ample play/exercise time. I am also trained in puppy socialization, which helps socialize puppies to their environment. I volunteer at the Austin Humane Society 1-2 times a week. If you have rowdy dogs or dogs who have behavior challenges, book me! I have taken basic and high-level dog training classes and am trained on basic handling, working with rowdy and shy dogs, and basic obedience commands (sit, gentle, watch, etc.) I have extensive training on techniques to help dogs exhibit more appropriate behavior and increase their likelihood of getting adopted. When I take care of your pets, I take it very seriously. You can expect me to send at least 2 daily updates (morning and night) on your dogs and I am more than happy to provide more if you'd like! I love taking lots of pictures of them, so expect multiple pictures too. I treat your pets as if they are my own, which is something that is not taken lightly on my end. I will take care of your dogs accordingly to your instructions, any special needs they have, and any other information necessary to take care of them. As for my job, I am a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and work with individuals with developmental disabilities. I study the science of behavior analysis and have been for 6 years! I apply this with children who have developmental disabiltiies. I have studied extensively the principles of behavior and how it affects individuals and their environment. :)
Reviews

Molly is wonderful! She dog and house sat for our three dogs for two nights and she was amazing! She is so attentive and truly loves caring for animals. She sent frequent updates and photos and she also has so much experience and knowledge about dog behavior and health. We felt totally at ease with Molly. She’s definitely our first choice anytime we need someone to keep an eye on our pups!

Highly recommend! Would book again!

As always, Molly is fantastic. She’s great with our dog, provides updates, and left the house very clean. Can’t recommend Molly enough.

Always a pleasure having her stop by! She sends lots of pics and updates accordingly.
