Availability
Fall 2025 Scheduling: I am available for drop ins and walks Friday evenings, all day Saturdays, and all day Sundays. I do not take any requests Monday-Thursday as my work schedule does not currently allow enough time for it. I do not take housesitting requests. A flexible time window of two hours is ideal for visits. I aim for the time requested to the best of my ability, but due to circumstances like traffic, weather, or scheduling conflicts, I may have to adjust the the time. I always confirm my estimated times for visits prior to booking to ensure you and your pet’s comfort. If for some reason this time must change, I give notice as soon as possible. If there are any concerns about the timing of visits, please reach out and I would be happy to discuss them!

Before the visit: - A meet n greet is required for all first time bookings for all dogs and exotics for the safety of the pets and me. The meet n greet is a quick, free meet at your house so that your pets can get familiar with me and we can go over pet care in more detail. A meet n greet for cats, while not required, is still highly recommended so that they will feel more comfortable with me entering the home.
Information Moira F. would like to know about your pet
Safety: - All dogs and cats must be up to date on rabies vaccines. - All dogs must be leashed for walks and any time spent outdoors in unenclosed areas. - Please inform me if your dog has a bite history. This is not a dealbreaker for me, but I may make adjustments to the visit accordingly. - Please inform me of any resource aggression or dog reactivity. - Please inform me of any allergies your pet has. I do not feet any pets treats or food without prior permission from the owner. - I do not use retractable leashes. If you do not have a non-retractable leash on hand, I will use my own nylon rope leash. - The maximum number of dogs per walk is 2. A short trial walk is required at the meet n greet if two dogs are to be walked at the same time. - I do not transport dogs in my personal vehicle. - I do not visit dog parks with dogs unless I have prior permission and it is completely empty. Dogs must have collars with tags at all times in the park. - During the summer, dog walks can only be scheduled before 9am and after 6pm. - I reserve the right to leave a visit early if my safety is at risk.
A typical day
My goal is to keep your pet's routine as familiar as possible for their comfort! Thus, visits will reflect what your pet enjoys doing most. Depending on your pet's personality, activities may include: fetch, wand toy, treats & training, going for a walk or run, or perhaps sitting on the floor not looking at each other. During the visit: I begin the drop-in timer as soon as I am at your front door. This is to ensure I can maximize the time spent with your pet, as well as account for any extra tasks I may need to perform. I take a couple pictures of your pet, ranging from 4-10, depending on what happened during the visit. If I can, I try to get pictures of them eating, drinking water, or having a blast while playing. At the last five minutes of the visits, I write a detailed description of my visit. I love including all of the fun quirks of your pets! I will note down when they ate, drank, how many bathroom visits they had, if they had any treats, and what toys they enjoyed playing with. If I notice anything concerning, such as vomiting, lethargy, diarrhea, etc., I will message or call directly through the Rover app to make sure it is quickly addressed.

Experienced and Flexible Petsitter
Pet care experience
Hi, I’m Moira, and I’m excited to get to care for your pets! I prioritize safety and comfort above all else for your pet. As an anxious pet owner myself, I understand how nerve wracking it can be to leave your pet in someone else’s hands. Thus, I strive to make the experience as stress-free for both your pet and you and mimic the routine you have already at home. About Me I’ve been a Rover sitter for over a year now with 150+ bookings. However, I have been petsitting for much longer! At 13, I needed money to fund my weekly horse riding lesson. I couldn’t work a traditional job until I was 16, so I looked for alternatives. Being a lifelong animal lover, I knew I wanted to work with pets. I knocked on every door in my neighborhood, asking for five dollars in exchange for a half-mile dog walk. One couple in particular was charmed by my efforts, and thus my first client was a sweet, elderly beagle named Rachel. Since then, I’ve had the pleasure of caring for a vast number of pets. My favorite part of my job is getting to know every pet’s personality and quirks. I also love my more uncommon pets, such as guinea pigs, snakes, frogs, chickens, goats, birds, and horses. I have yet to receive a request to care for a tarantula, but I hope to one day. I am experienced with puppies, kittens, elderly cats and dogs, high energy breeds, and pets with chronic illnesses. I am confident walking dogs up to 100 lbs. If your dog enjoys jogging, I am happy to take them running in the morning or late evenings. I can administer topical, injected, and oral medication to cats and dogs; I myself have a spicy, chronically ill elderly cat who rather unwillingly must take a pill every day.
