Pet care experience
Only 1 dog at a time for best care
We live in a single family home with a fenced backyard and we have a friendly mini Bernedoodle. We decided to become Rover dog sitters after having a lot of difficulty finding dog sitters who share our values and who can take good care of our dog. After a positive experience, we decided to do our bit and join the community! We are not doing this as a business so we only accept one dog at a time. We also want to ensure that you and your dog would be comfortable so we always require a meet and greet. We are strong believers in treating animals with love and respect. This means strong environment control, no harsh words, positive reinforcement and giving them the exercise they need. If you have rules or instructions for your dog, please share them with us and we will do our best to follow them. We respect that each pet parent has their preferences. Each pet is unique. During the meet and greet (a must), we will let your dog sniff around off leash in our backyard while learning how we can best take care of them. When they’re comfortable, we will introduce our dog to get acquainted. The meet and greet also helps in easing the transition for your dog so it’s not an entirely unfamiliar place if they do stay. We can accept dogs up to 50lbs. Beyond that, we will evaluate on a case by case basis. Other must-haves on our end to ensure a good experience for your dog: 1. Meet and greet to ensure our dogs can get along 2. Dogs are not allowed to sleep in our bed at night 3. House trained You’ll get lots of updates throughout the day as we appreciate that too when our dog boards with someone else. It can be so nerve wracking to entrust your furry baby with someone else and we are here to make that experience the best it can be.

We can’t thank Moi and Elaine enough for taking such great care of Millie for two weeks while we were away! She’s always so excited to see them—showering them with kisses and practically jumping out of the car when we arrive. We loved all the updates, photos and videos, especially Elaine’s funny commentary. They even took the time to train and brush her while she was there. Millie clearly had a great time, especially with leader Noodle. She looked so happy that we honestly wondered if she’d even want to come home! 😂 We’re so grateful to have people we trust to love and care for her like their own.
Moi and Elaine continue to amaze us with the love and care they show Millie. We always feel completely confident leaving her with them, and we love receiving their regular updates, which always reassure us that she’s being so well looked after. It had been a few months since Millie had last seen Moi and Elaine, but the moment she realized where she was, she was beyond excited and wanted to jump out of the car. She ran straight over to Elaine, showered her with kisses, and then couldn’t wait to get inside to play with Noodle and see Moi. Millie had an incredible time during her stay and came home completely exhausted after all the fun and playtime. It’s such a comfort knowing she’s not just being cared for—she’s genuinely happy and excited to be there. We know Millie is already looking forward to her next stay!
Elaine and Moi were AMAZING and kept us informed with lots and lots of entertaining photos and videos. I know that Shasta has found a loving and attentive home away from home and she’ll be happy to see her buddy Noodle again in the future!

Moi and Elaine continue to be amazing dog sitters, and Millie absolutely loves spending time with them. It gives us so much peace of mind knowing she is in such caring and attentive hands. Noodle is such a sweet dog, and we adore the cute videos of the two of them playing together — it’s clear Millie feels right at home. Even though we’ve used Moi and Elaine on many occasions, they always take the time to check if anything has changed in Millie’s schedule and keep us consistently informed about how she’s doing. Their communication is thoughtful and reliable, and they truly go above and beyond to make sure both pets and owners feel comfortable. We’re so grateful to have found sitters who treat Millie like part of their own family. We would happily recommend Moi and Elaine to anyone looking for trustworthy, loving, and professional care.
Elaine and Moi (and Noodle) were just wonderful. They were welcoming and attentive and sent lots of photos and videos during the stay. I hope this is the beginning of a great friendship! 😊

Schedule
At least one of us will be home full time. We never leave our dog alone so your pet will never be alone. They will have 24/7 care.

Safety, trust & environment
We have non slip mats in as much of the house as possible so your pet can run around safely. There are baby gates at the entrance and kitchen for the dogs’ safety. For potty breaks, we have a fenced yard but can also take them on walks 1-2 times a day.

A typical day
They’ll have frequent access to our fully fenced backyard which has a grassy lawn for playing. We usually take our dog on 1-2 walks a day. We have A LOT of toys for the dogs to play with if needed though we may remove toys at first in case resource guarding behaviors emerge.
