Nature walks & cozy time with pups!
When the weather is calm, I love taking the pups on a scenic trail walk or stroll by the lake(s), there’s plenty close to my house! In the warmer months, we can spend time in my backyard on the deck or on the grass (partially fenced right now, will keep your dog leashed or on an adventure rope if needed)…looking for rabbits & chipmunks is a favourite activity of Luna’s and there’s plenty in the yard! I have been an animal lover since I was a kid; I grew up having cats, birds, guinea pigs and dogs. If there's a pet at the party, i'll be the one hanging out with it and taking photos. The first pet I had on my own was a large cat named Jerry whom a friend and I rescued many years back; he loved to lounge and steal the occasional baked good. In 2018, I rescued my own dog Luna and she's been the best furry companion that comes along on road trips, to softball games and she even enjoys a good brewery tour! Over the past 6 years my closest friends have all rescued dogs, so there's been many opportunities to take them for walks or take care of them when their pawrents take a weekend away. I was also lucky enough to be a flight parent to a puppy (potcake) coming from the Bahamas a few years back. Other than walking and babysitting my friends and family's dogs and cats, I have also worked as a professional cat sitter in Toronto. I am used to administering oral medication and handling special diets (eg. my dog has had many allergies, she now eats a raw diet).

Miya is always amazing she always goes out of the way to make our dog feel at home: she gave affection, treats and makes sure he feels safe. Came home to a very happy dog!

Miya was incredible with our labradoodle Benny ❤️ She was so thoughtful with her photo updates and made sure Benny felt right at home for the weekend. She spoiled him with beach walks, porch time, cuddles and he loved hanging with her sweet doggo Luna too! Thank you so much Miya for treating Benny like your own x we will absolutely book again!

Programa
I am currently home all day and your dog is free to roam the entire house with plenty of windows for your fur baby to "watch tv". If your dog needs company, they'll be able to sit/ sleep near me or hang out with my dog. We will take regular walks around the neighborhood, visit local parks and trails on calmer weather days or take a stroll by the lake(s). Options to visit the off-leash dog parks as well. My dog loves a good long walk, but will adjust to what your pup needs! If your dog needs a lot of pee breaks, they are also able to use the backyard. My dog is also very gentle with younger and senior dogs. I live with my partner who also grew up with dogs, so he has plenty of experience walking and playing with them. He does not work from home, so he will be away during the day. Expect your fur baby to receive good walks, play and cuddle time!

My 7 year old rescue, Luna loves other dogs and is happy to keep them company or give them space. I love taking photos of pets, daily photos will be provided. I promise to care for your pet as if they were my very own - calming energy & plenty of love.

My dog loves a good long walk, but will adjust to what your pup needs! We can also play in the backyard, there’s plenty of space for running around or soaking up some sun on the deck. My dog has LOTS of fun squeaky toys that she's happy to share. Your pup is free to roam the entire house. I have some dog enrichment games, so happy to try those with your dog as well and they’ll get plenty of treats!
