What sets me apart is a lifetime of hands-on experience with a wide variety of dogs, combined with a genuine passion for providing active, attentive, and reliable care. I’m very comfortable with dogs of all sizes, breeds, and energy levels, and I tailor my approach to each individual pet’s personality and needs. I currently have two dogs of my own—Utah and Aspen—both adopted rescues who are well-socialized with other dogs and cats. Utah is a small terrier mix with a fun, energetic personality who also enjoys downtime and lounging. Aspen is an Alaskan Klee Kai mix who is highly social, active, and loves being close to people. Caring for them has reinforced my ability to balance structure, exercise, and affection in a way that keeps pets happy and comfortable. I have extensive experience with breeds ranging from small companions like Pugs, Dachshunds, and Chihuahuas to larger dogs such as Labs, Boxers, Great Danes, Huskies, and Pit mixes. I’ve also cared for dogs with a range of temperaments, including high-energy puppies, multi-dog households, and more independent pets. In addition, I’m very comfortable with cats and can easily handle feeding, litter maintenance, and basic check-ins. I prioritize keeping pets active and engaged through daily walks, outdoor time, and play, while also making sure they feel safe, relaxed, and at home in their routine. My goal is always to provide dependable care that gives owners peace of mind and pets a positive, consistent experience.

Mitchell has two dogs of his own that are very well behaved and he is super good with dogs. He has watched my dog and cat for me several times and I have concerns when they are in his care. He has stayed in my home and taken great care of my animals and my property. I will definitely vouch for him.

I’m currently looking to transition into a more flexible, self-managed work arrangement where I can take on regular bookings and dedicate focused time to caring for pets while maintaining dependable availability for clients.

I prioritize creating a safe, calm, and structured environment for every pet in my care. I closely follow each owner’s instructions regarding routines, feeding, exercise, and behavior needs to ensure consistency and comfort. I am attentive to safety at all times, including supervised interactions, secure handling during walks, and maintaining a clean, pet-friendly space. In my own home, I have two friendly, well-socialized indoor dogs who are accustomed to being around other animals. They are calm, loving, and enjoy companionship, which helps create a welcoming and social environment for visiting pets when appropriate. My focus is always on ensuring all pets feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for, whether in my home or a client’s home.

A typical day with the pets I watch includes a balance of structure, exercise, and play. I prioritize regular walks to help them get their energy out, stay mentally stimulated, and enjoy new sights and smells. Depending on the dog’s needs and routine, I’ll incorporate multiple walks throughout the day along with potty breaks and downtime for rest. When possible, I like to include trips to local parks or safe open spaces for extra enrichment and socialization. Playtime is also a big part of the day—things like fetch, tug-of-war, and interactive games to keep them engaged and active. I focus on making sure each pet feels comfortable, cared for, and happy throughout the day, while following their normal routine as closely as possible so they feel right at home even when in my care.
