I’ve had dogs my entire life and feel an intense bond with them. I love all sizes and all breeds and feel eternally grateful for the time to get to know a new animal. I’ve adopted, fostered and loved on other people’s pets over the years. Two years is the longest I’ve ever had someone’s animal in my home.

Misty & family were WONDERFUL! Agatha walked into their home & called it her own. Pictures & reports confirmed how comfortable, relaxed, & happy she was. Agatha is older, deaf w/some separation anxiety. Misty provided her with the security & love she desires, tons of belly rubs & peaceful napping spots. The tell of a good boarding situation: dog happy to see you, but not overly anxious to leave. This was our first in-home boarding experience & it was FANTASTIC. Misty is our go to from now on.
I highly recommend Misty as a responsible and loving pet caregiver. She took excellent care of my two dogs while I was out of town for five days. Misty was incredibly flexible, checking on them at my home for the first half of the trip and then taking them into her home for the second part. She provided regular updates with pictures, ensuring I was at ease during my trip. Her dedication and affection towards my dogs were evident, and they were happy and well-cared for upon my return.
Misty kept our dog Scout for a week this summer and our experience with her was amazing! She kept us updated and sent photos so we could see how happy he was. Misty is by far the best pet sitter we’ve ever had! Highly recommend ❤️

Schedule
I usually work from home, so I am around to spoil your pet as if it were my own. I have a big fenced in back yard for your pup to explore and get energy out... I’m also an avid walker/hiker and love to take a dog with me on that adventure if they’re up for it. During the pandemic I watched a friends dog for literally two years while they were in-between selling and buying a home. Getting to know new animals personalities is so fun for me and I strive to have them feel as calm and comfortable as possible. Allowing a dog to feel safe brings me immense joy. This past summer there were only two days I wasn’t taking care of someone’s animals, whether at their house or mine. I also love taking pictures of animals, so expect some photographs on your return or to assure you all is well while you’re gone.

Safety, trust & environment
If I’m hosting I have a large fenced in backyard and constant access to go potty or sniff around if that’s what your dog enjoys. I also have a large crate available that I can set up if your pup likes being in their own space when needed, otherwise it won’t be used at all. If your dog is a couch lover I can cover my couch and bed snuggles are always welcome. We have trails directly from our house to the North Oconee river, so we usually hike dogs in the woods to the river and back where they get to fully explore nature. If preferred I can walk them through our neighborhood streets, which is a calm and hilly neighborhood to explore without high traffic. When I’m in your home I like to make sure the animals feel loved on and comfortable and spend some quality time with them, both with snuggles and long walks around the neighborhood if applicable. I enjoy being in the environment of other people’s spaces and have nannied and cleaned houses, air bnb’s and businesses for people for many years and love to keep a clean space. If you need something organized or cleaned that is something I offer for extra income. Also experienced in house plants and can water for you while you’re gone as well (indoor or out if needed).
Pets
A typical day
I love taking photographs of animals while taking care of them. I also love going on long walks through the neighborhood or on the trails through the woods behind my house. Your pup can play fetch in the big fenced in shady backyard or lay on the deck or cuddle inside with me/my family to a good book/movie and feel right at home. I mostly enjoy my day gardening, exercising, cooking or spending time with my family. Someone is usually always home here as we are all homebodies and generally work from home. My son is 11 and loves new dogs in the house. He’s very comfortable with animals and respects their space.
