We are currently on maternity/paternity leave (we had our youngest son at the end of July!). We took some time away from Rover when we became new parents with our first son. Typically, we both work remotely and, therefore, can keep a close eye on your pet! We take work breaks throughout the day to go outside with the pups and have play sessions galore. This also means that we are very flexible for you too when it comes to pick up, drop off or if there is any changes in your plans.

We have a private fenced yard and sunny deck that is perfect for the pups to go outside and play. The yard and deck are both accessible from the main living area. The main living area is quite large with wood floors, which is great for keeping pups cool and many windows for the pups to keep an eye on the neighborhood.

Since we have two little ones, we will only accept pups who are good with kids. If your pup has any food allergies, please let us know! We’d also love to know what makes your pup happiest and if he/she has any other fun quirks we should know about. Please let us know if your pup has any history/behavior of marking indoors (e.g., furniture, dog beds, etc.); note that if marking occurs, additional cleaning charges will apply.

With our family of five, your pup will be entertained constantly! Rubi loves to play, but also knows when it’s time to relax. We like to go for walks around our neighborhood at least twice a day to enjoy the fresh air and beautiful North Lake Tahoe scenery.

Missy's first dog was Belle, an American Akita. Kyle grew up on a farm with too many dogs to count! Now they have a little family of their own — Rubi (a 5 year old Japanese Akita) and two sons 2 and under who all love other dogs and are always up for new friends! We will treat your pet as our own! You can expect your pet to be loved, cuddled and cared for under our watchful eyes. We promise to be communicative during your pet's stay in order to update you with how things are going and share lots of pictures. Missy and Kyle took great care of our pup, Dixie! Missy was super easy to communicate with, and sent lots of updates and pictures of Dixie having a blast with all her friends.
