First off, I remain calm and easy when meeting an animal. If I’m able, I like to leave a belonging of mine so they can get used to my scent! I’m a very laidback person so lounging around the house and going out for a walk with your dog is perfect. I love giving pets and cuddling on the couch.

I want to make sure your pet feels safe and comfortable so if new people make them nervous, then I can adapt to greeting them in a calmer way. If they have a history of abuse, I would love to know so I can show them care in a way that they are comfortable with!
A typical day
Always a morning walk if that’s in the routine! If they feel comfortable in public or around other dogs, I’d love to walk them in a park in the evenings. Playing fetch or something indoors is great. But most importantly, plenty of time hanging on the couch together!

I’ve been caring for animals for over 15 years. From afternoon visits to month-long stays, I’ve done it all. I also have experience caring for elderly and sick animals, including my own when she was diagnosed with cancer. I’m patient and kind towards all animals. I adopted two cats in Sept. of 2024 and adore them so much!

Miriam is an absolute gem! She has watched out two cats on multiple occasions and they adore her. Our cat Louise takes awhile to warm up to most people, but now that she is familiar with Miriam, she see's her as part of the family! Miriam is great with making sure they get fed on time and their litter boxes stay cleaned. I always appreciate when she sends pictures of my little babies, makes me feel assured that they are well taken care of in her company. One thing about Miriam that has been great is that she is quick to let you know of any issues that come up. She has been great for a quick check in on the cats or for staying a whole week if needed. I cannot recommend Miriam enough, she is my first call for whenever we have to leave town.
