Safety, trust & environment
I have a fenced in yard with one dog friendly dog and two dog friendly cats. If I'm house sitting in a client's home for multiple nights I prefer to bring my dog kimiko. He is a very sweet and gentle 3yo Great Pyrenees who is very receptive of other dogs and cats play styles and boundaries!

A typical day
First I like to spend a little one on one time with a new dog to establish that I'm a safe space and to get an idea of their personality. Then I do a slow introduction with my dog. From there we roll into play time. This helps socialize and elevate any anxious energy from being in a new environment. From there we work on training/practicing commands/ positive reinforcement with treats to establish that they can look to me for guidance. After that, that's when the fun begins! I love taking pups to the beach to play in Lake Superior. There are also many hiking trails in the area that are dog friendly! One of my dogs favorite pass times is doing a tour of all the dog friendly businesses in the area. TJ Maxx is his #1 favorite place to visit!

Pet care experience
Previously I attended Penn State for veterinary medicine but I have switched gears to become a Nurse Practioner! Nonetheless, still love to fill my days with as many fur babies as possible. I have experience house sitting multi animal homes with medical needs, along with grooming, enrichment, walks, arthritis massages and behavioral training. I adore working with cats and dogs, but I also have experience caring for exotic animals as well!
Reviews

Miranda did a nice job staying at our home and taking care of our 2 dogs. She shared great videos while we were out of town and her dog got along well with our 2 pups.
Miranda has watched over my dog and my cats, including overnight house sitting for all the animals, and she has done a great job! She has a lot of knowledge and history working with different animals, which makes her a great pet sitter. My animals love her!

Miranda was awesome staying with our 2 pups while we were out of town. She took them for nice long walks, shared photos, and even brought her dog over for an extra play buddy! She also stayed a little longer than expected when our travel plans changed. We felt great knowing our dogs were in good hands.

Miranda is amazing. Mac loved it there. Thank you so much for taking care of him.
