I would love to know your pet's likes and dislikes (favorite toys & activities) as each animal has their own personality! Of course any medications, allergies or handicaps must be communicated beforehand. If your animal needs to be handled a specific way when holding something they shouldn't be in their mouths or paws, please let me know.

Doggie care/Walks (Cat care below): I begin with greeting your dog(s) warmly, using their name and familiar phrases. Time is taken to ensure your dog is comfortable and excited. I will do a quick check of the home for any messes, accidents, or unusual behavior. I will take your dog on a leashed walk around the neighborhood! If a full walk isn't scheduled, your dog is let out in a fenced in backyard under supervision or taken to a designated potty area. Waste is always picked up and disposed of properly. If needed I will reinforce leash manners or basic commands (sit, stay, heel) during the walk. Fun, interactive activities will be tailored to your dog's energy level. Tug-of-war and fetch are some of my favorite! Puzzle toys, treat-dispensing games, belly rubs, brushing, or gentle petting for senior or shy dogs are prioritized when allowed by the owner and wanted by the pet. Mental stimulation is just as important as physical play! I will feed your dog according to your instructions, including special diets or medications. Fresh water is provided or the bowl is refilled and treats may be given with permission! Towards the end of our walk/drop-in visit I will do a quick health and behavior check: appetite, water intake, mood, etc. A summary is then sent to the owner with photos, notes on potty breaks, food, and activities. Any unusual behavior or concerns will always be communicated. I will ensure your dog feels loved, safe, and stimulated. Even short visits can be a great break in your dog’s day when handled with enthusiasm and care! Cat Care: I will enter quietly and calmly to avoid startling your cat(s). For social cats, I will offer a gentle hello, chin scratches, and soft conversation. For shy or nervous cats, I will give space, allowing your cat to approach on his/her own terms. All litter boxes are scooped and tidied. The area around the box is swept or wiped if needed and waste is properly disposed of in a sealed trash bag or designated bin. I will give fresh food as per your instructions—wet food, dry food, or a mix. Any special feeding routines or medications are handled with care and water bowls or fountains are refreshed and cleaned if necessary. Play is customized to the cat’s personality and preferences: Wand toys for chasers Laser pointers Catnip or treat puzzles (if allowed) If your cat is not playful, quiet bonding time might include gentle brushing, lap cuddles, and soft talking while the cat lounges nearby. I will ensure that play is safe and stimulating without overstimulating or annoying your kitty. Any hairballs, vomit, or signs of distress are noted and cleaned up. Lights or blinds may be adjusted to maintain your routine. I will then send a visit summary with a report on feeding, litter box use, mood, and play. Cute photos or videos and any concerns or notable behavior (e.g., hiding, extra vocalizing) will be communicated. Even if your cat seems independent, these visits ensure their routine stays consistent and that they get the attention and care they need while you're away. Balancing affection with respect and patience is crucial to a successful visit with your kitty!
