Information Miranda C. would like to know about your pet

I am able to keep the same routine you do at home for your dog while they are visiting whether that’s providing medication, treats, or dinners at specific times! If you let me know the routine, I’ll be sure to stick to that!

A typical day

What dog doesn’t love walks and a king size bed!? And did i mention our fenced in yard!? Two dog lovers, my husband and I, will be sure take lots of pictures of all the activities we do with your pups!

Pet care experience

I absolutely adore animals and love spending time outdoors taking dogs on runs, walks, or just giving them all my attention. I have a fenced in yard for dogs to run and play! I love going to new locations and be able to spend my time outdoors enjoying the fresh air with a little furry friend. My morkie, Adela, hates being left alone at home and would rather be outdoors chasing squirrels or going on walks so if you have a pet like this, I will be super excited to have the opportunity to keep your dog busy while you are busy at work, running errands, or have a party to attend. I am excited to hear from you and am willing to accommodate to your needs! If we are dog sitting on the weekends, we ensure we are home and spoiling the dogs! You will find us on long walks, playing ball, sitting outside in our back yard, or giving scratches! During the work week, my husband works from home and is able to entertain the dogs throughout the day. Walks are a must in the evenings every night! I have a fenced in yard for dogs to run freely! Dogs are allowed on all the furniture are are treated just as if they are my own! Daily walks and treats are a must!

Miranda kept me updated throughout Scrappy's stay. Knowing he was happy, healthy, and active throughout our trip gave us peace of mind letting us rest easy on vacation. I would absolutely recommend her services and would book again, no question.

The good: Miranda sent pictures or videos of my dog almost everyday, her and her partner gave him cuddles and tried their best to bond with him even though he was scared in the new environment, and she updated me promptly when something bad happened. The bad: my dog got out of their fenced back yard the first full day he was there and they said there wasn’t much they could do because my dog would run when he saw them. I was currently out of the country, so I told them to leave his crate on the porch and he’ll come back to it and they eventually caught him that way. Even though he nearly escaped their house the night before and I had to have them literally hold him when I left because I said he might try to run after me, they said I didn’t give them enough heads up about his flightiness and took no responsibility for leaving him unattended in their back yard. On the night before I was supposed to pick him up (just getting back into the country when this happened), Miranda messaged me and said my dog got scratched by bigger dog during feeding time. My dog is a chihuahua and is very easy to harm. We agreed that I would come around midnight to get him because I was worried. He had a bit of dried blood on the top of his head and the area around his eye was swollen, so I took him to the emergency vet since they were the only ones open and I knew he would need antibacterial and pain meds. I had to take him to his vet the next day because the wound was bleeding and weeping pus and his eye was swollen shut. It’s been very costly and my dog is constantly uncomfortable in the cone he’ll have to wear for the next two weeks. As per Rover’s policies, I had to reach out to Miranda to incur about his vet bills before filing a claim since this happened under her care. She denied any responsibility and implied my dog instigated it because he growled at the other dog who was approaching his food (my dog isn’t food aggressive, but I can see why any dog would become protective around their food in a strange environment with strange dogs trying to take it. I feel like this is something every dog owner should know to watch out for). I conveyed my feelings to her about their lack of attentiveness and was again told it wasn’t their fault that he was hurt and was only told they were sorry they didn’t meet my expectations. I’m saddened by the lack of responsibility that was shown towards my dog and their response to it happening on their watch. I’m in the process of filing a claim with Rover to pay for his vet bills. I would not recommend them for anything above basic care (feeding, walks, short stays), small dogs, or dogs that may be uncomfortable staying outside of their normal home environment.
