Hello Neighbors! We are TWO DOG SITTERS who have recently moved to Solana Beach from Michigan. We offer above & beyond dog care, attention and companionship. We cater to folks that (like us,) regard their dogs as their children and true members of the family: Folks that need to know their dog is happy, safe, and attended to at all times. Someone that may want LOTS of pictures & videos of their pup throughout the stay or just the freedom to check in on the pup w/o ever feeling like a pest. We get that! In our care, your dog will never be left alone. They will be doted on and tended to at all times. They also get a playmate! Our own dog is a sweetie and loves to meet and play with new pup pals. He can keep up with puppies, but also knows to back off if a dog is not interested in playing. He does very well with senior dogs, giving them space and never stressing or pestering them. We have tons of toys and treats, but the real draw is that we live on a dog beach! We take daily walks along the shore where there are all kinds of interesting smells and doggy friends socializing. Dogs absolutely LOVE it! We love dogs of all ages from puppies to senior dogs. We have both taken courses on dog training and while we are not experts, we know a few tricks that have proved useful to our previous clients. We also have experience with senior dogs and understand that they may need extra space and/or a slower pace…plus extra snuggles and pets because they’ve earned it! 🥰 We love all dogs. However, we live in an HOA-governed complex and cannot accept commonly restricted breeds.

Miranda and Alex were such great hosts for my dog. They have a huge fenced backyard, a very friendly resident dog, and lots of treats and toys to play with. My dog had a great time and I will definitely use them again the next time I'm in the area.
Miranda, Alex, and Rico are fantastic. We met with them at their beautiful home for a meet greet before our mini goldendoodle spent two days with them for daycare. They showed us their home and backyard so we would know exactly where our pup would be. Their dog Rico is so sweet and got along so well with our dog Benji. Miranda and Alex are super kind and personable. Their home and backyard is truly a dog oasis. Miranda sends updates and texts throughout the day, so I’ve never left wondering how my pup is doing. The dogs play inside and outside together all day, AND she takes them for walks. He comes home thoroughly pooped and happy. She truly spoiled my pup. I’ve had a few experiences through Rover, and while none of them we “bad,” this one is our best yet by far. Benji will definitely be back to play with Rico and Miranda.
Thank you, Miranda and Alex! Bentley had a great time with Rico in your yard and is home pooped! I appreciate the pictures and videos while I was away. You made leaving him with a sitter the first time easy for both of us!☺️
Hi! I’m Miranda’s BFF for 20+ years. We both grew up with dogs & have had dogs through the years. Her dog is her child & everyone who knows her, knows her dog too. When we talk on the phone, she always asks about my kids AND my dog which is very sweet. She’s a total dog person that will take amazing care of your fur baby.
Miranda is my kid sister, so I can attest that she’s loved dogs (and animals in general) her whole life. She and her husband Alex have had two rescue dogs together, Spanky & Rico. Spanky crossed the rainbow bridge about a year back, but for the last couple of years of his life, his mobility declined and he could no longer go up or down stairs. My sister and Alex carried him in & out for every potty break for probably two years. They also had to forego any travel during those years to remain by his side to the end. That’s the kind of dog people they are - there’s nothing they won’t do for dogs! If you’re looking for someone you can trust, it’s her (and Alex). Your dog may never want to go home though!

Both my husband & I are home-based and will be available to care for your dog. One of us will be present at all times. We will love, cuddle, and play with your dog. We’ll talk to them a lot…and maybe sing to them too. 😍

We WILL: • Open our home to your dog - with lots of cozy nap spots & window-watching perches. • Interact with your dog(s) engaging them with play & companionship. • Sprinkle in rewards & praise for desired behaviors throughout the stay. • Introduce you/your dog to our friendly & playful dog, Rico. (See pics.) They can play & tire each other out! 💤 • Ensure your dog is never alone. • Send you pics of your doggo throughout their stay (if you like). • Contact you immediately should anything of concern arise with your dog. We WILL NOT: • Accept commonly restricted breeds • Accept dogs that are not potty trained, UNLESS it’s a puppy/new learner. • Host any dog(s) that presents a danger to us, our dog, or themselves. If your dog has aggression issues, we just aren’t a good fit for you/your dog.
Pets
A typical day
We have LOTS of toys & treats (if allowed by you) and our pup is a very good playmate. We go for lots of walks around Solana Beach on the Rail Trail and go to the dog beach most days.
