A paw-fect home away from home...
Hi, I’m Mindy! A dog lover with 25+ years experience being a dog mom myself. After my last fur baby passed I decided to pause and not jump right into the addition of a new pup. Eventually I missed having a dog around but was deep in a fabulous new phase of life. A chapter all about not adding to my list of full-time responsibilities and being in grandma mode as much as possible! You know...love on them lots and send them home. :-) Being a dog sitter has brought the joy of dog love and companionship back into my life in a way that fits perfectly. <3 *** OF NOTE: One week or more advanced notice needed for all new clients.

Our pup always has a wonderful time staying with Mindy! We really appreciate the regular updates and the care she gives him, she truly treats him like one of her own. It gives us so much peace of mind knowing he’s happy and having fun while we’re away.
Mindy is Kiyah’s favorite! She walks her all the time and snuggles with her at night. Kiyah loves to spend the day with her granddaughters and be the star of the show. I would recommend Mindy to anyone. She makes Kiyah feel like she is right at home.
Opie had another great stay with Mindy. We really feel good about leaving our senior pup with her.

Schedule
My job includes both daily home office time and client appointments away from home. During the busier appointment days, I do come and go frequently which allows for random walks/playtime/snuggles + frequent potty breaks.

My favorite thing is having a dog want to be wherever I am in the house. My guests are allowed on furniture and beds (only if okay with you). I have a small ranch home in a friendly MKE neighborhood with access to miles of sidewalk + near trails and a park. I live on a corner and have a small unfenced back yard with patio where your pup can roam on a tie-out, watch the neighborhood, or relax with me soaking up the sun or stars. I take multiple walks daily. I live alone but your pup must be good with kids if needing boarding during work hours on a Friday, as I may be wearing my grandma cape while one or both of my young granddaughters spend the day with me. They have a lab and huskie at home and are very comfortable around dogs - not clingy.
A typical day
I do not have a typical or fixed work schedule day to day. The most I am away from home for work at one time is 5-6 hrs, and that is once to twice a week. Some days I'm home all day and others I come and go. We can play fetch, walk, jog and hike with some mental stimulation in the home as appropriate for your pup. If your dog is senior and less active, no worries. I will make sure to keep our activity level to where your dog is comfortable.
