Mindy can care for
Availability
Since I work remotely, I have pretty open flexibility. If I am house/pet sitting for you, I will be with your pet the majority of the day, and all night. If you do need 24-hour care, let me know and I will do my best to clear any other errands or appointments I may have during the stay. If I'm not able to commit to 24-hour care, I will always be very transparent with you about that.

Information Mindy G. would like to know about your pet
I haven't met a dog yet that I don't like. If your dog bites, then I would want to be sure I get a chance to meet him/her before committing. I haven't met a dog yet, that I can win over. Just to be safe though, I'd prefer we meet first. I love dogs of all breeds, ages, and genders. If you have a rescue, my heart will likely melt. I work extremely well with dogs that have had previous traumatic experiences. My most proud accomplishment was taking a dog for his first walk in a year, after being adopted. Every time his adopted mom took out the lease, he would run and hide. It took about a week of working with him, but I'm happy to say that he now LOVES his walks.
A typical day
walking, jogging, hiking, playing fetch, swimming, dog parks, tug-of-war, farmers' markets. I'm basically happy to take my new friend with me everywhere that would be appropriate. I also have extensive conversations with you about your comfort level and the dogs' ability, before I take them anywhere. Your dogs' safety is always #1 priority to me. Making sure they are having a blast is #2. If I'm caring for an elder animal or one with health issues, it's still important they get to enjoy all that they can, so I will plan very mild activities for them. When my Mars was near his end, I would take him to his backyard, lay a blanket down for the two of us, and we would watch the birds together. Depending on what makes your pet's heart sing, I'll ensure they are feeling the love!

Pet care experience
Horse/Ranch/farm sits available as well. I've recently gained experience with sitting at a horse ranch. Lifelong animal lover with a serious soft spot for dogs. I have over 20 years of experience loving and caring for animals. I would love to care for yours! Having been on the other side of pet-sitting, I know the level of anxiety and fear that can be had when leaving your babies at home while you travel. Knowing they are in the best hands is the only way you will enjoy your trip. Please know that with me, they are in the best hands possible. Truth be told.... we will probably be having more fun than you. :-) If you choose to book with me for house/pet sitting, I will close my calendar to any other clients. All of my time and attention will be with your babies. This was something that was always important to me, so I wouldn't have it any other way for you and your pets. Until a year before I started sitting, I enjoyed 13 years with my chocolate lab rescue named Mars Bars. He was my best friend and 100% my soulmate! He had a lot of medical issues at the end of his journey, but I considered it my biggest honor in life to care for him in those months. Whether your babies are in perfect health or managing through illness or age-related issues, I will care for them as I did for Mars, with a ton of love, respect, and compassion. I'm very active and love to walk, jog, hike, and play fetch. I also love cuddle days where we chill and enjoy tummy rubs. Depending on your dogs' activity level, as well as your comfort level, I'll plan some fun activities for the two of us to enjoy (after clearing them with you first, of course). If your babies are anything like Mars was, the ears droop and the tail goes down, the second they see that suitcase come out. This is why I prefer to dog-sit at your house. I've found that taking care of them in their home environment can help significantly with minimizing the adjustment period for them. My goal is to keep things as normal as possible for your pets. I would love to come and meet you and my future buddies, so we can all get to know each other a bit better, and you can see me interact with your babies. I'm committed to doing my very best at relieving any anxiety you might have about who is caring for your animals while you are gone. If that requires an extra visit (no charge) on my end, I'm all in!! I'm also happy to take care of any household tasks that might need looking after while you are gone (checking mail, turning on sprinklers, bringing in paper, etc). I work as a Business Consultant and 90% of my work is done online and remote. For the most part, I get to make up my own schedule, which makes it a lot easier for me to keep the original schedule your pet may have. I'm happy to answer any other questions you have, and I can't wait to build a new friendship with you and your animals. One more thing to note. If you have any type of video monitoring system in your home, I'm completely comfortable with that. Please feel free to check in on your pets anytime you would like. I recognize you will be trusting me with two very important things. Your furry family members, as well as your home. I will treat your home as I would treat mine, and I would never do anything in your home that I wouldn't be comfortable with you viewing on a camera. Integrity is very important to me.
Reviews

Mindy is just the best pet sitter you could find on Rover. Super reliable and takes excellent care of our pets. The pets are always super happy to see her and we get back home to happy and healthy puppies and kittens.

Mindy was absolutely wonderful! She cared for our dog and cat in our home while we were traveling and was professional, communicative, and SO sweet to our animals - we loved getting regular updates and seeing how happy they were all weekend. Our dog is a rescue and sometimes takes awhile to warm up to new people, but Mindy was so calm and gentle with her that Sadie was rolling over and asking for belly rubs and pets within a few minutes of meeting. Also, Mindy left our house spotless and even washed the sheets and towels so we didn’t have to! We would absolutely use Mindy again.

Mindy took great care of my cats!

Mindy was great! My dog was so excited for each of their walks. She was professional and gave lots of updates. Couldn't have asked for more!
