Minda can care for
Availability
I'm pretty much fully booked for the summer for overnights but have some drop in availability. During the school year, my routine is pretty fixed, so we can determine easily if I am a good fit for your family. I will be available for drop ins regularly and for housesits one weekend a month during the school year.

Safety, trust & environment
I am a homeowner myself and value and respect the immense cost and care you've put into your home, whether you are renting or paying off that mortgage. I will keep things tidy and secure, follow your feeding, medicating, and cleaning routines, and I ensure the home is locked up and safe before I leave. I focus on reading your pet's unique body language to give them the exact balance of affection, playtime, and peaceful space they need to feel right at home.
Information Minda M. would like to know about your pet
Let me know if your friend has any special needs or interests, as well as activity level. I'll be better prepared if I know their favorite toys, spaces, any triggers, and how well they warm up to strangers. I want them to feel safe and secure. I'm not a good match for super high energy or reactive dogs.
A typical day
I follow the lead of the animals I am with. I do love feather toys for cats and walks for dogs, however. I'm happy to spend time just chillin' in the house or in the yard for fresh air (if appropriate).

Pet Care by Teacher & Homeowner
Pet care experience
As a local school teacher, safety, structure, and patience are at the core of everything I do. When I'm not in the classroom, I bring that same level of care, dedication, and organization to looking after your pets. My Specialties: Feline Experts & Daytime Dog Time While I love all animals, I structure my services to fit my current lifestyle: For Housesitting (Overnights): I specialize exclusively in the feline world! I provide dedicated, low-stress, and reliable overnight attention for your kitties while you're away. For Drop-Ins & Dog Walking: I absolutely welcome dog time! I love getting outside, stretching my legs, and providing structured, safe daytime walks or potty breaks for your pups. A good match is a non-reactive, easy-going dog who is up for a calm stroll in the neighborhood or at a nearby park. 🐈 Multi-Cat Families: I believe a few extra head scratches shouldn't cost more. I don’t charge an additional fee for up to 3 cats—your base rate covers the whole trio. (If you have 4 or more cats, please message me so we can discuss a custom rate.) 🐕 Mixed Households: If you have a household with both dogs and cats, feel free to reach out for overnights! I'm happy to see if we're a great match. My Experience & Medical Care I've had a lifetime of pet ownership, including multiple cats and a sweet Dachshund named Hansi. One of my current cats is 14 with anxiety and asthma, so I am experienced at administering oral and topical medications. I haven't given insulin or allergy injections yet, but I'm absolutely willing to....give it a shot. :) For several years, I fostered for The Pixie Project, caring for cats recovering from surgery, tiny kittens, and those needing intense socialization (I’ve even braved giving sulfur baths!). I only stopped when I became a proud "foster failure" and adopted my third kitty. My Pet Care Philosophy Because I am naturally low-key, quiet, and calm, I'm good at reading the unique body language of cats and dogs. I know when a pet needs their space to feel safe, and when they are ready to open up and play. Because safety and structure are my top priorities, my dog-walking services are best suited for easygoing, non-reactive dogs who enjoy a peaceful, quiet stroll.

Reviews

Minda was exactly who we needed to house sit our recently adopted 1yo kitty. She knew exactly how to take care of her, even how to deal with a couple kitty shenanigans that took place. Her communication went above and beyond and was very clear. She left our house in great condition, as if no one was ever there. We were very grateful to have her watching our Misha while we were out of town. We will definitely book with her again!

Minda took excellent care of our animals and was extremely accommodating when our trip was unexpectedly cut short. We will book with her again!

It was such a comfort having Minda care for our cats while we were away. Our kitties were quick to be at ease with her, reassuring our worries about them feeling lonely or anxious at home.
Minda was fantastic with my little tuxedo cat. Oliver is a rescue so likes love - but of course on his terms. Minda was sure to give him lots of cuddles, played with him a couple times a day with his favorite feather toy & of course kept him fed. I came home to a clean litter box. Minda was a good communicator with me the entire time & was mature & respectful of my home. Oliver was clearly happy & felt safe during my absence. Highly recommend Minda!
