New furiends welcome!
We are Mina and Jordan, a couple of dog lovers that have been fostering for 7 years but have had dogs in our lives for 15 years. Our first foster Halley was a senior mini poodlex at 9 years old when we fell in love and adopted her. When you see her photo you'll see why she was a foster fail :) Halley eventually lost one eye and became blind in the one she had left. We lost our girl to kidney disease in Oct 2023 and although we aren't ready to add a permanent member to our family yet, we can't imagine not having dogs in our home. This is one of the reasons why we have decided to join the Rover community - to offer our home and love to your pup while you are away. We are suckers for rescue dogs and embody the rescue mindset. We have had fosters as young as 4 months and as old as our senior girl of 14 yrs old. We have experience with dogs that are extremely skittish and nervous and understand that patience is key in developing a lasting bond. We are also very familiar in dealing with dogs who have very specific dietary needs as our Halley girl had kidney disease and our current foster Molly is on a very strict Hypo diet. We have experience giving oral, topical medications as well as eye drops. We are ready to adapt to your furamily member's needs the best way we can. We can't wait to meet you!

Ratings and reviews
This was the first time bording my dog with Mina. She was by far the best border that has taken care of my dog over the years. Great communication, kind and i highly recommend Mina.
Mina, Jordan and Molly were all very approachable and understanding of our dog’s quirks. Mina sent us lots of pictures and updates while we were away and our Maxie got comfortable with them in no time. She came back to us healthy and happy. We would be happy to board her with them in the future :)

Mina continues to be an amazing sitter for our doggo, and once again she has helped us out even on short notice. Our dog loves staying over and we know he's well taken care of the whole time.

Mina and Jordan took such great care of our girl Mochi while we were away for two weeks. They always sent regular updates and checked in with us throughout the trip, which was important to us because our girl Mochi can have some separation anxiety. Mochi also requires a pill morning and night which they administered no problem! We would absolutely trust them with our Mochi again anytime. Their professionalism, expertise and care was apparent throughout the whole process. Thank you Mina and Jordan!

Mina and Jordan helped take care of Marlo for more than two weeks. Marlo was a timid dog. However, they seem to be able to make him comfortable in a short period of time. They sent updates every day and were incredibly responsible and trustworthy. Marlo also did well with Molly. We will definitely ask them to take care of Marlo again next time.

Mina was an excellent sitter for our doggo, lots of updates and great communication.

Schedule
At our household, there is always someone at home as we work opposite schedules. Day or night, know that your furamily member will always have a body at home. They will get 3 walks a day around our quiet neighborhood and be treated like an extended part of our small family. We are always home on weekdays and are more often than not home on weekends as well. We like to take the doggos out on walks along the trail and if they prefer to be indoors, we enjoy taking them out to dog friendly establishments.

Home characteristics
Safety, trust & environment
We lost our senior girl in Oct, 2023 and aren't ready for a new addition to our family yet but we are more than happy to open our home to your doggo. Currently we are fostering Molly who is a rescue from Taiwan. She's a very mellow home body who loves having another doggo around but generally she keeps to herself. Because Molly is a foster, she can be selective of dogs. In order for our home to be a safe one for your pup and ours, we have to ensure that both personalities are similar. This means that we will not be able to accommodate high energy/extremely vocal pups in our home as those energies make Molly very nervous. We live in a town house in a quiet neighborhood, mostly full of seniors and other like minded dog owners. In our house, your doggo is pretty much has free reign as we treat ours like family. If your doggo feels more safe in a crated environment we also have that available as an option as well. Once we get to know your doggo we will make sure they are as comfortable as can be. We do have 10 steps leading up to our townhouse which may be difficult for senior dogs. We love caring for them but in order for us to say yes to your pet, they would have to be comfortable with stairs or okay with being carried. We don't want to do anything extra to stress out your family member while they are in our care.
Pets
A typical day
At our household there are many toys for your doggo to play with from tough ones to soft and squeeky toys. Indoors we love playing tug of war and catch me if you can, but if your doggo prefers to be more mentally stimulated, we have stimulation toys as well. We like to go for walks around our quiet neighborhood and Taylor park is nearby as well if your dog prefers to be off leash. We also like to go on car rides to visit the many beautiful trails that the lower mainland has to offer! At night we believe in cuddle time (only if your doggo likes that) while watching tv.
