I've had dogs my whole life and have taken many obedience classes through the years. I understand and can entertain different personalities. I will carry over all your rules or lack thereof, depending on your wishes. Chester and I look forward to meeting your four-legged family member! Also, I adore senior dogs; they are the 'bestest' dogs and I frequently tell them so. My sweet Wilson (the black dog in some of my pics) passed away recently at the age of 13 and I miss him SO much but it makes me happy to remember our connection and know that he lived a great life ♥️

Mimi was great with all my pets! I have a GSD who is very particular about who she likes, and she warmed up to Mimi very quickly. Mimi also gave special care to my senior pup and my reclusive cat. She is definitely on our "rebook" list!
Mimi and her family took such wonderful care of our Velzy girl! From the moment we met I felt at ease and so did our pup. Velzy had the best time with Chester and they got along great!Lovely home with the best backyard. We will MOST DEFINITELY be booking again and again and again. Highly recommended! Mimi made every step of the process of boarding our dog so easy. Our dog is an older Chihuahua with special medical needs and a tight medicine schedule and Mimi was happily accepting of his needs. She took amazing care of our boy for the weekend and got many photos putting our minds at ease. Would recommend Mimi anytime and are thankful to know someone is ready to help next time.
Mimi was absolutely wonderful. My dog is incredibly anxious and he was not a good boy, yet she was SO kind about it. Still upset with my boy for giving Mimi a hard time.

Schedule
I'm an artist and work at home, so I am here almost all the time and can cater to the needs/wants of the dogs. Your dog will have the run of the house with Chester at all times, including if I go on an errand, etc. I'm also always happy to work with your dog's norm and training, I am on the South Hill, about 8 minutes from downtown and the freeway, very convenient and easy to find. Also will send you pics and updates while your dog is here :)

Safety, trust & environment
We have a secure, fenced yard which the dogs have the run of. Two doggie doors - one to the house and one to my backyard art studio - allows the dogs to be where they want to be. If your dog is unfamiliar with - or not great - at pet doors, no worries, I am happy to let them in and out the old-fashioned way! I welcome the opportunity for you and your pet to meet us before your dog's vacation begins! At this time you can also provide me with details of your pet's personality, schedule, and special needs. This also gives your dog the chance to get acquainted with the surroundings and give their stamp of approval. For first timers, I require this (at no cost of course).

A typical day
A typical day for Chester includes 2 or 3 walks around the neighborhood and/or a nice long visit to the dog park (lots of off-leash happiness and fetching). Chester is easily entertained and I will cater the exercise and care to your pooch, depending on age and physical needs. During the day your pooch can hang out with me in my studio or the house, and/or outside in our large fenced, grassy yard: we have two dog doors so they can choose. At night they will sleep by our bed on a dog bed - or in a crate if you prefer.
