Availability

I work from home and my job is low demand, so I have plenty of flexibility throughout the days and the week as a whole. This means I can give your dog lots of attention and company. I’m available for walks, drop-ins and daycare during the day, as well as evenings and weekends. I’m also happy to look after dogs for longer periods when needed, including holidays. I have a car too, so I can take dogs out to explore different walking spots and enjoy some adventures!

Safety, trust & environment

Your dog’s safety, comfort and happiness are my priority. I have a secure garden and a dog-friendly home, with plenty of space for your dog to relax and feel at home. I’m happy to follow your usual routines, including feeding, walks, medication or crate training if needed. I’ll always take the time to understand your dog’s personality, likes and needs before looking after them, and I’ll keep you updated so you can feel confident they’re happy and well cared for. Whilst your dog is in my care I would be more than happy to share pictures and updates with you too, so you can rest assured😊 At the weekends and some evenings my brother (over 18) and mum will be present, so please let me know if your dog is uncomfortable with men/ strangers. It can be arranged for you to meet them if that makes you more comfortable, thanks!🩵

Information Millie Grace S. would like to know about your pet

Please let me know if your dog has any additional needs that I will need to accommodate for while they are with me 🥰 This could include anything medical, dietary or behavioural, allergies, medication, anxiety, nervousness, separation anxiety, mobility needs or anything else you think would be important for me to know. There’s no such thing as too much information the more I know about your dog, the better I can make sure they feel safe, comfortable and happy during their stay! 🐶❤️ IMPORTANT: If your dog is reactive/ has previously been reactive, please let me know when enquiring, so I can see if I am able to facilitate their needs

A typical day

Every dog is different, so I like to keep their usual routine as much as possible while making their stay feel like a little holiday of their own! Throughout the day, we can mix things up with playtime, enrichment activities, training games and plenty of attention. Depending on the dog’s personality and what their owner is happy with, we might go for a long countryside walk, explore a new walking spot, play fetch or have a good old sniff around. I have a car, so I’m also able to take dogs somewhere a little more exciting than the same local route every day. For dogs who prefer a quieter day, we can have a relaxed afternoon at home with puzzle toys, chews, cuddles and naps. I also love doing little training games throughout the day, even simple things like practising “wait”, “leave it” or recall can be a great way to keep their brains busy. And of course, there will be plenty of garden time, toilet breaks, fresh water, dinner and lots of fuss before settling down for the evening. ❤️ My aim is for dogs staying with me to feel like they’re having a fun little holiday, while still following the routine and rules they’re used to at home. 🐶🏡✨

Pet care experience

I’ve loved dogs for as long as I can remember! I was the neighbourhood dog walker from a young age, and looking after dogs has been a big part of my life ever since. I had my own dog, Buddy, for 13 wonderful years, so I know how much trust is involved in leaving your dog in someone else’s care. I’m not currently looking to have my own dog because I really enjoy travelling and having the flexibility to explore when I can, but I absolutely miss having a dog around. Dog sitting gives me the perfect opportunity to spend time with dogs while giving owners some extra support!😊 I work from home, so I have lots of flexibility during the day and can give dogs plenty of company, attention and fuss. I have a house with a secure garden, a car and love getting out for walks and adventures, whether that’s a quick local walk or jumping in the car and heading somewhere new. My experience goes beyond my own dog too. I’ve helped raise a couple of litters of Hungarian Vizslas and English Springer Spaniels, and my uncle has a farm with working dogs, so I’ve been around a variety of dogs, personalities and energy levels over the years. I also volunteer with a dog charity, helping dogs socialise and build confidence before they’re ready to find their forever homes. I really enjoy getting to know each dog’s individual personality and working out what makes them happy and comfortable. Whether your dog is looking for an energetic walking buddy, some company while you’re at work, or simply someone to give them plenty of love and attention while you’re away, I’d love to help! 🐾🧡

Millie looked after our Bella brilliantly. She arrived on time, kept us updated, and dropped Bella back without any issues. I would highly recommend Millie’s services to anyone — she really has a natural connection with the dogs.
