Spring and summer bookings are starting to fill up, and I’m excited to welcome both new and returning clients this season. If you’re hoping to book walks, drop-ins, daycare, overnight stays, or house sitting, I recommend reaching out at least a week in advance whenever possible. I’ll always do my best to accommodate last-minute requests when I can, but booking ahead gives you the best chance of availability. I offer premium, personalized dog care in Tofino, (and can travel to Ucluelet when possible) for people who want more than the basics. My approach blends adventure, structure, and calm companionship so your dog feels genuinely well cared for while you’re away. Services 🐾 Dog Walking: My walks are unhurried and thoughtful, with enough time for pickup, transportation, and a full outing so your dog can actually enjoy themselves rather than being rushed through a quick lap. ☀️ Doggy Day Care (in my home): A full day of personalized care with beach or trail adventures, enrichment, downtime, and plenty of attention. 🏡 House Sitting (overnight in your home): A calm, attentive presence for both your dog and your home, with walks, cuddles, routine care, and thoughtful updates. ✨ Drop-In Visits: Ideal for half-day care, companionship, potty breaks, enrichment, and one-on-one attention while you’re out. 🐾 Boarding (overnight in my home): A cozy home-away-from-home experience with movement, rest, and individualized care. Puppy care, extended care, transport, and online training consultations are also available. Note: Some dogs are a great fit for shared adventures with my dog Cleo, while others do best with one-on-one care and more personal space. I’m happy to offer either depending on your dog’s temperament, comfort level, and what will help them feel most successful. About me: I’m Mila - a dedicated dog caretaker, holistic nutrition student, and experienced animal person with over 10 years of hands-on care. I’ve worked with dogs of many different ages, temperaments, and needs, including seniors, shy or nervous dogs, and high-energy dogs who need a little extra patience and understanding. Clients often tell me their dogs warm up to me quickly, appreciate the thoughtful updates, and return home happy and settled. I care deeply about creating a safe, enjoyable experience for your dog and real peace of mind for you.

We booked Milena while my husband and I went to the hot springs and we couldn’t be happier! She was an incredible sitter for Rooney. She was very knowledgeable, flexible with pick up and drop off times, and sent us sweet videos of Roo. Throughout the day. You can tell she loves dogs and had a great time hanging out with our 6 Mo. old pup. She knows all the good spots for dogs to run around and burn off some energy. My only regret is that she doesn’t live in our city so we can book her again!
Finn had an amazing time with Milena and she was really patient with him even though his energy level was a bit high! He made greats friends with Cleo and loved being shown around all of Ukee. Thank you Milena!
I cannot recommend Milena enough. I was in Tofino for a conference and didn’t want to leave my active pup, Monty, at home, but it also wasn’t fair to leave him in a hotel room all day while I was stuck in sessions. Milena was truly a lifesaver. She went above and beyond, driving all the way from Ucluelet to Tofino early in the morning to pick Monty up so I didn’t have to juggle conference logistics. On the evening we ran late, she even dropped him back off so I would not have to navigate the unfamiliar windy roads in the dark. That level of thoughtfulness and care meant the world to me. As a local, she knew all the best spots where Monty could safely enjoy being off leash even though his recall is far from perfect. She sent me many pictures and videos throughout the day, and it was clear Monty was having the time of his life. Her own dog, Cleo, was such a friendly companion and gave Monty the perfect playmate. By the end of each day, Monty was happily exhausted which was exactly what I needed after long and tiring conference days myself. I am so grateful for Milena’s warmth, professionalism, and genuine love for dogs. She made it possible for me to fully enjoy my time in Tofino, knowing my pup was not only cared for but also having his own adventure. If you are looking for a dog walker or sitter who treats your dog like family, look no further. Milena is truly exceptional.
Cannot say enough good things about how excellent Milena was with our two dogs - both our senior dog and our nervous and shy younger dog had a fabulous visit with her. She really understands how to make dogs feel at ease and we knew they were in good hands the whole time. She sent us multiple photos throughout the visit and we returned to two very happy boys. I would recommend Milena with confidence. The best dog sitter ever!

Caring for dogs is a natural part of my daily rhythm. I build my days around walks, outdoor time, feeding, rest, enrichment, and calm companionship, so dogs in my care are included in a steady, thoughtful routine rather than squeezed into a busy schedule. Mornings often begin with a long walk or adventure, followed by downtime, meals, and quiet settling time. Midday and afternoons can include another walk, enrichment, play, or relaxed companionship depending on each dog’s needs and energy level. I aim for a healthy balance of activity, structure, and rest so dogs feel happy, safe, and well cared for throughout the day

I offer a calm, attentive, safety-first approach in both my home and my clients’ homes. My home is small but cozy, clean, and set up to help dogs relax and settle after walks and adventures. While I don’t have a large yard, I make up for that with plenty of outdoor time, structured walks, enrichment, and supervision. Dogs are never left unattended outdoors. I tailor care to each dog’s personality, comfort level, and routine. Some dogs are a great fit for shared adventures with my dog Cleo, while others do best with one-on-one care and more space. I’m careful about introductions and always want dogs set up for calm, successful experiences. In a client’s home, I respect the dog’s normal routine as much as possible so they feel secure and comfortable while you’re away.

A typical day may include beach walks, forest trails, sniffy neighborhood strolls, play, enrichment games, rest breaks, and lots of calm companionship. I love giving dogs a mix of adventure and downtime so they can enjoy themselves without becoming overstimulated. For higher-energy dogs, that may mean more movement and exploring. For seniors, shy dogs, or dogs who need a gentler pace, it may look more like quiet walks, one-on-one attention, and a cozy place to relax. My goal is always for dogs to have a genuinely enjoyable day that matches their temperament and needs.
