Senior dogs have my whole heart. I’ve been caring for dogs for over 25 years, starting with my first cocker spaniel, Cooper, who I raised from puppyhood and loved for 16 wonderful years. Today I share my home with Lola, a calm and gentle Hurricane Maria rescue from Puerto Rico who is a Cocker Spaniel and Cavalier King Charles mix. I specialize in senior dogs who thrive in a quiet, predictable environment with lots of one-on-one attention. If your dog prefers naps over chaos, routine over noise, and gentle walks over wrestling matches, they will feel right at home here. Pet care is my full-time profession, not a side hustle. I intentionally keep my schedule light so every dog gets the attention, consistency, and calm they deserve. Many of my clients book weeks or months in advance because they know their dog’s space is being held by someone they trust. ⸻ Why My Home Is Ideal for Older Dogs My home is a peaceful, clean, and structured space. My retired parents are here during the day and are also insured caregivers, which means your dog is almost never alone. Even when I step out for errands or appointments, dogs are never left for more than a couple of hours, and when boarding, dogs are never left alone together. I board only one household at a time. That means: • No rotating strangers • No overstimulation • No kennel-style chaos • No competing for attention Your dog becomes part of our household, not one of many. ⸻ Senior & Medical Experience I have extensive experience caring for senior dogs and dogs with special needs, including: • Oral and topical medications • Eye drops and supplements • Mobility support • Feeding schedules and special diets • Frequent potty breaks I keep a detailed daily log and provide frequent photo and video updates so you always know how your dog is doing. ⸻ Daily Life Here Dogs in my home enjoy: • Calm mornings • Gentle walks (South Mountain Reservation is a favorite) • Couch naps • Sunbeams • Fresh water always available • Cuddles, belly rubs, and quiet companionship Dogs are welcome on furniture and beds if that’s part of their routine. I work hard to keep your dog’s daily rhythm as close to home as possible. Lola is friendly, calm, and well-mannered. She does best with other relaxed, polite dogs. For boarding, dogs must be comfortable around another calm dog and not be jumpy, pushy, or high-energy. ⸻ House Sitting When I stay in your home, I treat it with the same care I give my own. I’m extremely clean, respectful, and organized. Many clients tell me they come home to a space that looks better than when they left.
