Former Dog Trainer turned Sitter
I’ve grown up around dogs my entire life, so my love for them started very young. My family has had 6 boxers, 2 Carolina dogs, and 1 Husky. I’ve been responsible for training, exercising, and overall care of all of our dogs. With that experience I realized early on that I had a natural talent with dogs & decided to be a dog trainer for 6 years! I DO offer dog training for those interested. I specialize in puppies, senior dogs, and addressing behavior issues. I have never met a dog that didn’t like me & I hope that trend continues!

I firmly believe there’s no one-size-fits-all approach to animal care. This mindset allows me to stay attentive and in tune with each animal’s unique needs, so I can provide individualized care. Whether it’s cuddles, playtime with a favorite toy, roughhousing, training, or mental stimulation, I’m here to give them whatever they need.

Mike was really adaptable with my dog. My dog is very big and we're working on impulse control. He has trouble containing his excitement, he's only met Mike one other time so far, but absolutely loves him. Mike did a great job gauging the situation and confidently guiding the interactions with a calm but assertive presence. Mike was really helpful, has great advice, and is understanding that my dog's ongoing behavioral shaping-he didn't view my dog's behaviors as "flawed," he just recognized where there is room to grow. My dog requires a very confident, warm but steady demeanor and I can tell that Mike is able to adjust his communication with dogs to meet them where they're at. I trust that he can calculate just how far to push the learning to keep it productive but challenging enough to help my dog grow his skills. He took a little extra time, didn't rush us, and was engaged throughout our walk. I really appreciate his help and perspectives, and would definitely recommend him.

Mike was prompt, sincere, and confident. Played with our girl right from the start. He was conscious of the heat and made the most of the full hour. Would recommend!
Great with Koma and keeps up whatever training we are working on with her, especially exposure to other people and dogs so she can practice working through frustration.

Schedule
I am available full-time for animals! I’m currently on a sabbatical from the corporate world that allows me extended free-time & easy schedule for animals!

- I love to be prepared when it comes to taking care of your pets, so I do have a list of questions that I typically ask. For example, does your pet have special needs when it comes to food, training, medication, exercise, or anything like that. On a separate note, I do love working with animals that need extra attention. I think one of my main strengths is being able to have customized plans & being able to adapt to different animals.
