Safety, trust & environment
I firmly believe there’s no one-size-fits-all approach to animal care. This mindset allows me to stay attentive and in tune with each animal’s unique needs, so I can provide individualized care. Whether it’s cuddles, playtime with a favorite toy, roughhousing, training, or mental stimulation, I’m here to give them whatever they need.
Information Mike S. would like to know about your pet
I love to be prepared when it comes to taking care of your pets, so I do have a list of questions that I typically ask. For example, does your pet have special needs when it comes to food, training, medication, exercise, or anything like that. On a separate note, I do love working with animals that need extra attention. I think one of my main strengths is being able to have customized plans & being able to adapt to different animals.
A typical day
With individualized care there are a number of different “fun” activities I do with pets. There is of course play time like fetch, play wrestle, a fun walk in the park, and a good pet session, but I also believe an important part of a dog’s day is mental stimulation. This could look like a sniff walk, training, or mental stimulation toys.

Pet care experience
I’ve grown up around dogs my entire life, so my love for them started very young. My family has had 6 boxers, 2 Carolina dogs, and 1 Husky. I’ve been responsible for training, exercising, and overall care of all of our dogs. With that experience I realized early on that I had a natural talent with dogs & decided to be a dog trainer for 6 years! I DO offer dog training for those interested. I specialize in puppies, senior dogs, and addressing behavior issues. I have never met a dog that didn’t like me & I hope that trend continues!
Reviews

As always, Mike was on time, dependable, and communicative. Phoebe loves him and always has a great time.

Can’t say nothing but good things about Mike and how he handles our pups! He’s doing drop ins before we leave on a trip so our dogs feel comfortable and it’s been going great. Both our dogs love him and are already comfortable with him coming into the house without us there. 10/10 recommend! Makes us feel safe and secure to leave our pups without any anxiety.

A great walk for Phoebe. Mike is one of her favorite people ever and would happily spend all day every day with him.
My puppies are always excited to see Mike and looks forward to his visit! He is very patient with them.
