Welcome to Camp Clay - A Passion for Paws and Setting The New Standard of Obedience!   Hello, I'm Mike, I’m an Army Veteran and dogs have been a cherished part of my life for over 15 years. We just recently moved to NW Cape Coral from New Jersey where we served 250+ clients, with roughly 100 being training clients. Currently, I share my days with two American Black Labrador Retrievers, but my journey with these amazing animals goes far beyond being a pet parent.   My journey has taken me on an incredible path, where I spent nearly a decade as a certified professional Explosive Detection K-9 Handler/Trainer. In the high-pressure world of Federal Law Enforcement at the local/state and federal levels, I specialize in understanding body language, fostering obedience, correcting behavior and fine-tuning scent training. My credentials include certifications from the North American Police Work Dog Association (NAPWDA) and in dog First Aid/CPR.   However, life had other plans for me, leading me to follow my dream career as a United States Deputy Marshal about 2 years ago. It was a profound shift, one that illuminated just how much I missed the presence of dogs in my life. In response, I made the decision to resign and embark on a new adventure: the birth of Camp Clay.   At Camp Clay, we understand that every dog is unique, and our training methods are tailored to suit individual needs.
