East Kensington Awesome Pet Sitting
I’ve moved back to my hometown of Philadelphia! I own a home with a large yard - plenty of room for fetch and tug of war. If you have an active dog, I'd love to take them on long walks or a run as well! I'll be spending all the time in the world with your dogs and will send you photos and e-mails during their stay. I do not accept bookings if I will not be with your dog for the entirety of their stay - meaning they'll never be left alone in my care. I look forward to having the opportunity to care for your pets and have them as guests while you're away! About this sitter: Hi! I'm Mac. I'm an animal lover and regularly petsit my friends animals when they are out of town. I graduated from West Chester University with an English Education degree. I volunteer with PAWS Philadelphia (the only no-kill animal shelter in the city) and look forward to meeting your pets! Why I love dog sitting: I've been a dog lover my whole life, having grown up with them - they always seem to be a constant in my life no matter where I go or what I do. Since moving back here, I've volunteered with PAWS Philadelphia, WAGS, and petsit for my friends when they are out of town. Experience administering medication? Yes. I am Red Cross Pet First Aid certified, and used to work with military working dogs in a professional capacity.
Qualifications
Safety, trust & environment
My service is unique in that I will be with your dog for the duration of the stay, so they will never be left alone in my care. I have a K9 First Aid Kit at all times. I respect all rules of the house and have multiple recurring clients I’ve provided housesitting services for. I’m fine with (and recommend) clients use cameras for housesitting services. I don’t crate dogs unless directed to by the owner.
Ratings and reviews
Mike is the most amazing guy! Always takes amazing care of our giant newfie and our house! He's a trustworthy and experienced person who can handle even the most rambunctious of puppies!

Mike always does great and my puppies love him. He is very reliable and thorough. We call him every time we go out.
Five stars aren't enough for Mike! This was our first time hiring a professional to watch our 7-month-old Newfoundland puppy, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. From our initial phone call, Mike was incredibly friendly, attentive, and reassuring—he took the time to understand our expectations, answered all our questions, and even arranged a meet-and-greet a few days before our trip to get to know our pup and review house rules. Mike stayed at our home while we were away and was extremely respectful and accommodating to our regimented schedule and training routines. Impressively, even though our puppy's commands are not in English, this posed no challenge for him. Throughout our trip, Mike provided regular photo/video updates and detailed messages, which really put our minds at ease. During a heat wave, Mike went above and beyond by bringing a kiddie pool and setting it up in our backyard so our puppy could stay cool and have fun. His professionalism stood out in every way—he washed the sheets, tidied up before leaving, took out the trash on trash day, and even watered our garden and plants. Mike will absolutely be our first call the next time we need a dog sitter. We wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and thoughtful dog watcher. We'd be more than happy to provide a reference if needed!

Mike was great and super accommodating. Will definitely ask him to watch Luna again.

Mike was amazing with Little Bear and Tigger! It was our first time away from our Tigger (reactive dog). He provided both dogs with individual visits to dog park. He was fantastic with updates and included pictures. We will definitely rebook whenever we go on vacation.

Mike is hands down the best.

Calendar and availability
Schedule
I currently work from home, so pet care can take priority as I can essentially make my own hours and frequently finish deadlines ahead of schedule.
- 0 to 15 lbs16 to 40 lbs41 to 100 lbsover 101 lbsMike can host up to 3 walks per day
- I'd like to know their favorite things to do, if they have any medical considerations, and any specific behavioral aspects unique to them. I work a lot with special needs canines and always welcome them! I'm an animal lover, so I don't have any breed preferences - but people seem to like that I can handle the responsibility of larger dogs as I'm 6'2.
