We homeschool so our schedule is very flexible. Your pet will get a lot of attention as we are home for the majority of the day. When the weather is nice, we try to get a morning or evening walk in every day. There's a mile loop around our neighbor that goes through the park and our boys love getting to run around with the more energetic dogs that we watch.

We installed a doggy door that leads to our fenced-in backyard that stays stocked with chew toys and tennis balls. Most of the dogs we watch master the doggy door pretty quickly and they love the freedom of running in and out whenever they please. For the dogs that aren't doggy door fans, we are still home frequently enough to make sure they can have a potty break at least every 4 hours. We are working on building some back-yard obstacle courses for our dogs and we will update our profile once that has been completed!

Information Mikayla & Stephen L. would like to know about your pet
Please let us know: - What is typical for your pup because we try to do our best to try to stick to their normal feeding/walking schedule and any training preferences. - If your dog has a history of running away or digging out so that we can take extra precautions with an Airtag collar, etc. - If your dog has any allergies/food restrictions or will require medications. - If you typically kennel your dog when you leave the house or at bedtime. If so, please bring their kennel or crate. ^ if any of this info is already listed on their profile, that is sufficient. We are not currently able to watch: - Dogs that have a history of aggression with humans, dogs, or cats. - Dogs that have a history of spraying in the house or that are not fully potty trained. - Dogs that have a history of destroying property. - Dogs that are not up to date on their rabies vaccine. - Pups under the age of 1. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out at any time. We hope you join our extended family!
A typical day
You are welcome to bring as much or as little as you'd like for your pup's stay. At the minimum, they will need their food, a collar and a leash. We do provide bowls, blankets, toys and treats. Normally, dogs don't eat as much during the first few days on a first visit so we can provide unsalted chicken broth, yogurt, carrots, green beans, etc. to mix into their food upon request. We won't give any treats or food without your permission.

"The love of a dog is a pure thing"
Pet care experience
Howdy! We are an animal loving family of 6. We started dog sitting on Rover in 2023 to prepare our kids for their *surprise* Christmas puppy. While we never expected this to turn into a full-time thing, we have fallen in love with so many of our sweet pups and families that here we still are. Our kids are one of the biggest reasons we've continued dog sitting. You'll find them excitedly waiting by the front window to greet you and your dog. They especially enjoy capturing your dog's stay so you will receive many silly and sometimes blurry pictures/videos of all of the snuggles and shenanigans. We have an older Golden Retriever named Daisy. She is about as gentle and sweet as it gets. You'll likely see her napping in the background of your dog's photo/video updates. Our Persian cat, Ellie, is basically a feline version of Daisy - equally sweet and also sleeps about 23 hours of the day. Millie is our mini Aussie. If your dog likes their personal space, she is very submissive and can take a hint. However, if you have a more playful dog, Millie will ensure they have a blast during their stay-cation. Her love language is being chased all around the yard and most of our visiting pups leave very tired, thanks to her. Our frequent visitors typically run up to greet her before anyone else and we honestly can't blame them.
