Nowadays I’m studying zoology/animal husbandry; but my very first job was helping care for hospitalized companion animals at Eastview vet clinic when I was 14. I’ve since handled situations from normal med administration /cleanings/feeding to various emergencies for cats, dogs, wildlife and even farm animals. I was later a wildlife education specialist with a non profit and worked with&cared for exotic species (animal ambassadors) from all across the globe. I more recently worked at a popular chain pet store and have knowledge on nutrition, enrichment, supplements, training supplies, and more. I grew up with animals of all sorts and can’t wait to meet yours!

Safety, trust & environment
My own dogs are never off leash (unless on grandmas farm on vacay) and wear harnesses/collars when out and about. - When visiting our home your pup won’t hear the door handle move until after their leash is secured to their collar or harness; EVERY TIME. - When I visit your home you can expect guidelines to be followed to a T. - Unless your yard is fenced (or buried electric) I prefer to go on leashed walks to bond with your buddy. - Treats/food will always be cleared with pet parent before being given. Mikayla went above and beyond while housesitting for me. My dog required medication to be given to her twice a day and Mikayla not only ensured she got it but provided frequent updates throughout the stay so I knew my dog was doing okay. She brought in packages, ensured the place was tidy before she left and offered to check back on the girls if my travel schedule got delayed. I truly was able to rest easy during my time away knowing Mikayla was taking care of not only my animals but my home.
Mikayla is an incredible sitter and helps me enjoy my time away without being anxious about leaving my babies behind. She provides fun and detailed updates and tons of pics.
Mikayla was great. She was very communicative about when she was going to be arriving for her visits, and left detailed notes and pictures after each drop in. The kitties warmed up to her quickly. I would definitely hire her again!

Schedule
I have a couple of hermit crabs, two pups, two cats; and know what it takes to keep a pet happy-and on a schedule. I am lucky enough to be able to move my schedule around yours!
