I’m currently working full-time at an animal hospital, including mornings on Saturday. I have two days during the week that I am off the clock. My shifts are from 7:30am to 6:00pm during the week and 7:30am to 12:00pm.

Pet care experience
I’ve been passionate about animal science and animal welfare for as long as I can remember. I’m currently a veterinary technician at an animal hospital in the DC area. I’ve worked at the Smithsonian Zoo, NIH facilities, doggy daycare and boarding facilities, animal clinics, and a humane society shelter for birds, cats, dogs, rodents and reptiles. I will be applying for veterinary school this summer and I am currently in a Master’s program with a concentration in bioengineering.

Mikayla is extremely loving, kind, compassionate and caring. My fur baby is a friendly boy, but the cuddles he gives Mikayla are the ones he only gives to genuinely good souls. She would be a phenomenal pet caregiver for any pup or kitten in need of a temporary home.
Mikayla is truly the best with all pets. My senior dog, Ginger, and my cat, Milo, adore her. Ginger can be wary of strangers, but she loved Mikayla from day one. She gives them all the gentle care, cuddles, and attention they could ever want, and treats them like her own. I trust her completely with my them! She’s reliable, compassionate, and genuinely gifted with animals.
