*Moving to Richmond and starting school in September - taking 2 months off (Aug/Sep) and relocating - Richmond services available winter 2026* I have taken care of animals my entire life and have had experience with aggressive and ill cats. I’ve volunteered at RAPS in Richmond when I was younger and have experience with all kinds of behaviours, cats or dogs. I am the go to cat sitter for my friends and neighbours and have 3 long term catsitting positions over the past 3 years. I come with a litter box at the ready and lots of experience taking care of a cat in my home. In addition, I would be ecstatic to give your dog a walk or help take care of them. Since starting my account in December I have completed many services for dogs and have gained two loyal dog walking clients I both see multiple times a week. They are truly the highlight of my week and I hope to fit you in too if you need a walk or help with your dog.

Mikayla was fantastic!!! We were gone for three nights and she watched our 16-year-old dog who can sometimes be a little nervous. He had several accidents in the house (which is unlike him, so Mikayla didn’t have much of a heads up this was a possibility!), but Mikayla handled everything with patience and care, leaving our house spotless. She kept us updated throughout our time away with regular messages and photos, which gave us great peace of mind. We would happily book with her again!

Mikayla took such wonderful care of my senior rescue cat, Smokey, while I was away for a week. Leaving an older cat can be stressful, and she made the experience completely worry-free. She kept me updated with regular messages and photos, which gave me so much peace of mind. Smokey can be particular, but he looked relaxed and content in her updates. It’s clear he got plenty of gentle care and affection. When I came home, the apartment was spotless and Smokey was happy and well cared for. I would absolutely book Mikayla again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a thoughtful and trustworthy sitter.
Mikayla did a great job looking after our cat Scotty. She was very easy to work with and clearly took the time to make sure was well attended too and taken care of. Scotty was very relaxed when we got back home as if we never left! Thank you Mikayla!

Schedule
I’m currently in between jobs so I have plenty of time to take care of your animals! I currently have two dog walking clients that I see regularly at least 2 times a week each so I will work around my schedule with them to fit my care with your animals in! As they are just walks, boarding and housesitting in my area are fine any day!

I can only board one cat at a time. I live in a small room/studio in a Kitsilano home with other tenants but I have a private entrance and private suite. I’ve found that having a small room has been beneficial for taking care of cats as it doesn’t take them too long to adjust to the surroundings. When I take care of a cat here, I always keep the blinds on a window open for them to sit on the ledge and look out, in addition to a light or soft music if I’m out for longer than 4 hours. I am sure to change their litter daily as we live in close quarters together. I have an area in the corner of my suite for a litter box that works really well. If needed I have my own litter box, mat, and scooper, in addition to toys
A typical day
With cats in my own home, I have lots of my own cat toys from years of taking care of cats, and love to watch them play for hours. In your house I’ll be sure to play with them and cuddle them lots, and stick to their usual routines, even if a bit silly (as we know they have their quirks). We live in the one of the most beautiful areas of Vancouver so I would spend lots of time at the parks playing with your dog and going on “sniff safaris”
