Love all animals!
I am a former dog trainer at Dog Gone Amazing training and boarding in Reno Nv for the past 4 and half years. I moved to Eureka to have a new start and would love to continue to work with animals. I’ve worked with many different breeds and many different temperaments. I currently have two dogs of my own and a cat as well. I’ve grown up with all sorts of animals, such a horses, chickens, sled dogs and cats. I would love to continue working with new pets and their owners!

I always recommend crates for any situation but in my own home I would crate all dogs and rotate based on how they all get along. Feeding in the crate or separate from other animals. Daily walks or hikes depending on the animal. Cats would get daily enrichment. If weather doesn’t permit or the animal isn’t able to get that day I’d offer mental enrichment such as lick mats, food puzzles, play, training, etc.

Mikayla is the best! She is one of the very few I trust to watch my dog while I am away. My dog has pretty particular feeding instructions and some allergies and she follows those directions to a T. She makes sure Pepper gets ample exercise but doesn’t over do it due to Pepper’s age and arthritis. She loves what she does and sends updates throughout my trip so I can see just how well Pepper is doing. I will always recommend her for any dog sitting needs!
Mikayla has dedicated her life to caring for animals. Professionally, she has worked in the dog training industry for over Four years, and in her personal life owns two dogs and a cat! I have known Mikayla for over 10 years as she has always been responsible, reliable and intuitive with her animals and friends! I would strongly recommend Mikayla for working with you and your pets in any capacity!

Schedule
I currently have 2 dogs and a cat. I’ve also worked as a kennel tech at a boarding/training facility and then moved on to become a trainer at that same facility.
