I walk my adopted dog 3-4 times per day. I’m a fairly active person and am happy strolling slowly or even jogging on a dog walk. Currently, my work schedule is very flexible. I have space for new clients.

Safety, trust & environment
I frequent many parks with little traffic to limit stress to the dog. Our walks are between 20-60min and usually includes a small period of high-level activity (running, throwing a ball, etc) beforehand so we get out the initial energy before walking in public.
Information Mikayla D. would like to know about your pet
Knowing about the dog’s relationship to other dogs and humans is important context. Practising the same tricks/commands as the owner to maintain consistent training. Though all dogs are my friends, I have a soft spot for medium to larger breeds. Older dogs are very welcome, too!
A typical day
I will not be going for jogs with your dog unless we are quite familiar with each other. I find dogs who don’t know their walker well get anxious and disoriented when running within the city. Your doggo will be the doggo of the hour! I will not be walking multiple dogs at a time unless they already live together and are well-acquainted with each other.

A lifelong animal lover
Pet care experience
Over the years, I grew up with many dogs and cats and have experience with a variety of breeds and demeanours. I have been working alongside dog trainers for a couple years so have some handling experience and am very aware of dog body language (especially since my dog is fear-reactive). Currently, I’m learning canine first aid and CPR as well as effective défence tactics for off leash attacks. I understand that it’s hard trusting a stranger with your pet but I promise to provide attentive care and friendship with clear communication so that my clients can depend on me! Previously I have had a sheltie, cocker spaniel, husky, great pyrenees, bernese. In 2022, I adopted a loveable mixed breed dog from Mexico. I also have experience dog-sitting pit bull mix, and boxers.
