Cats are creatures worthy of worship. And demand respect. Whatever age, they are always authentic and unapologetic. I deeply appreciate them, their intuition, instincts, and quirks. I have had them as companions, friends, and tended elder ones. I will happily do drop in visits for people with just cat(s)or both cat(s)and dog(s). My dog will not accompany me for any of my drop in visits.

I enjoy taking the time to communicate with you about your desires, concerns, texting check ins and sending sweet photos for your peace of mind. As every pet is an important family member. I know them to be kin.

Mikal was awesome. She spent extra time coming out to meet us before our reservation to make sure it was a good fit. Her dog Hoodi was patient and sweet to my leash aggressive girl. I would definitely book again if the situation arises.
We were happy to find Mikal on Rover! Initially, Mikal and her dog Hoodi stopped by and met our two older border collies. Since everyone got along great, Mikal agreed to housesit and take care of our dogs for 10 days, which was a big relief to us as our dogs feel the most comfortable at home. Mikal asked what our communication preferences were and sent photos and updates every other day as we requested. It was fun to see photos of all 3 dogs together on beach walks while we were away! When we returned home, dogs were happy, clearly well taken care of, and Mikal had left the house clean and tidy. We booked them already for our next trip. HT and MW
If you're looking for a thoughtful, caring, diligent, and respectful pet sitter, Mikal is the person for you. I've hired them several times now and I'll definitely be booking them again. They appease the mood swings of my bossy cat and simultaneously put my high-strung dog at ease. My pets both look forward to Mikal's visits and I can actually relax when I leave knowing they are happy, cared for, and in great hands.
Mikal has been a great cat sitter for my elderly Lucy …who passed a few months ago. She was capable, willing to go the extra mile, and caring in ways that helped me actually relax while away during a very stressful time in Lucy’s life. I experienced Mikal as a clear communicator which I also appreciated it very much.

Schedule
Please note my pet sitting is limited to the Olympic Peninsula and Kitsap County. I pet sit most frequently in Port Townsend, Discovery Bay, Sequim, Blyn, Port Ludlow, Brinnon, Port Gamble, Quilcene, Chimacum, Port Hadlock, Irondale, and Marrowstone Island. Occasionally I will work in Port Angeles, Joyce, Forks, Queets, Poulsbo, Kingston, Bremerton, Bainbridge and Silverdale. I prefer extended house sits and like to build solid bonds with animals. I prioritize repeat clients. I have additional references outside of Rover. As many of my clients book me via word of mouth. This profile gives ease of access to my calendar. I currently work seasonally teaching art based school break kids camps and afterschool programing on the Olympic Peninsula. I spend the rest of my time making art from home and adventuring outdoors. This means I can have extended quality time with your pet(s) for walks and/or outdoor play and indoor care. Summer is my busiest season as a teacher. I have less availability during it.
