I’m a lifelong pet owner and love all animals—big and small! I recently moved to Santa Barbara for work and am excited to start petsitting here. For over ten years, I’ve been caring for other people’s pets, always making sure their pets are treated with lots of love. I have worked with animals of all ages from puppies to older animals, even have put on doggy diapers! I have also worked with animals with different behavioral problems or those that have medications. I love all animals and also have experience with cats, guinea pigs, and rabbits. I am happy to keep your animal with whatever routine they have to make them as comfortable as possible. One of my favorite parts of Santa Barbara is all of the trails and would love to take your pup on some adventures (with your approval of course). I have my own australian cattle dog if you’d want your pup to have a play date. Otherwise lots of walks if that’s something that your pup is interested in too! I’ll be sure to treat your special pets with lots of love when you’re away! :)

I prioritize making your pet feels comfortable when you’re away and I hope to keep their routine as best as I can. I also respect anything that you wish me to follow. I’m also happy to help water plants or take out the trash when watching your pet.

Would give Mikaela 10 stars if I could she was hands down amazing!! Spoiled our pup by taking him on a ton of hikes/adventures and was so open at communication I never once had a doubt our pup was in good hands. Will be sure to reach out again for more care.
Mikaela was wonderful!! She did everything exactly as planned and our pups adore her. She went out of her way to give our dogs extra love and attention. We’ll definitely be using her again for pet sitting.
Mikaela is absolutely wonderful! She was able to take care of my dog at the last minute and responded very quickly. Not only was she flexible with her availability but she went out of her way to make sure my 10 year old extra skittish dog could be as comfortable as possible for her first time being alone at home overnight. She did a great job keeping me updated and was patient enough to hide in the kitchen so my dog would eat her time sensitive raw food in another room and even tried to clean up my dog's stinky poop accident from the rug. Also my 6yo human daughter really liked Mikaela after our brief meet and greet and kept asking if she could be her babysitter sometime. ;) Will definitely be using her again when needed!
Mikaela was great. Very attentive to our little guy. Communicated well before and throughout the whole process, so we knew that our Rudy was in great care. Couldn’t recommend her more highly!
Mikaela was wonderful! We left a bit of challenging group and it looks like my 2 fur babies had a great time. She took our high energy puppy for walks everyday and she gave us great picture updates. I would use her again in a heartbeat!
Mikaela was so great! I’m usually pretty anxious about leaving my dogs for any extended period of time, but I knew Mikaela was gonna be great from the moment I met her! I left my dogs with her for the weekend and she sent me text and pictures the whole weekend which gave me great peace of mind, plus my dogs absolutely loved her. I’d book her to watch my dogs again anytime.

I recently moved to Goleta to start a job at a nonprofit. I work from home two days a week and can let your dog out at lunch as needed.
