I'm a recent expat to Edinburgh with lots of time and love to give! I've been a petsitter and housesitter for the past 8 years, looking after the most precious furbabies, homes and plants. I have experience working at the RSPCA, caring for cats who are in recovery from cat flu, desex, amputation, ringworm or orphaned kittens. I grew up with a beautiful black and white rescue kitten, Nellie - as my closest sibling. We spent 18 years together and I still miss her every day. I treat your pet as if they are my own, making them feel safe and loved in every way.

I ensure a loving, safe and supportive environment for your pet. They will have all of the food, bedding, enrichment and social time exactly as you prefer. Your pet and home will be cared for as my own, and I provide photo updates for you to connect while you're away.

Mikaela took beautiful care of our two dogs (two larger rescues who need daily meds and frequent exercise) and our flat. Communication was perfect, and she kindly adjusted the drop off time in order to introduce the dogs to our friend who was staying after her. We will book Mikaela again without hesitation.
Mikaela was amazing with Miso! He’s only 9 weeks old, so I was really nervous about leaving him for the first time, but she put my mind completely at ease. She took such great care of him and sent me lots of lovely photos and updates, which I really appreciated. It was clear he was happy and well looked after. Miki is super reliable and an incredibly gentle pet sitter. I get regular updates of my pup and Miki together, and my pup always reacts with excitement when she sees Miki. Miki is always happy to accomodate special dietary needs and medication routines, and responds with prompt communication. Her love for animals is very clear to see! I always have peace of mind when I know my pup is with Miki.
Mikaela is the best pet sitter I've ever had. She is kind, patient and calm. She has looked after my cat and dog on both short and extended stays and I've never had to worry about their level of care. She provided me with updates and didn't hesitate to take my dog on long walks. In the end, my cat loved Mikaela more than she loved me. I would recommend her services to anyone!
