Availability
As of 2024 i work full time at a dental office in Byron, but live in Rochester so my radius is wide! However, i work four 10 hour days starting at 6am and ending at 4pm with an hour lunch varying mid-day. Making weekday visits a little more complicated but i am very available evenings, friday through sundays, and holidays! It never hurts to send me a request to see if I'm available, i love meeting new pets and people so its always worth a try!

I always make sure to enter into your pets space with a calm demeanor as to not make them anxious. I check gates to make sure there is no escape route for them if the yard is fenced and i always make sure harnesses/collars and leashes are on correctly to avoid possible escapes and/or injuries.

The most important information for me is if the dog is reactive in any way, not necessarily for myself but so I can adjust my mannerisms but also any situations in which we may encounter to keep the dog comfortable.
A typical day
When weather is appropriate I try my best to keep the dogs I watch outside and moving but when it's raining or cold, depending how the dog fairs with it, I usually walk them until the duties are done then play inside for the remainder of the visit.

Pet care experience
I have always had a dog as a family pet along with some outdoor cats. I had an 11 year old rescue rottweiler up until Feb 14 2021. I help care for my sisters golden retriever who's been in our lives since he was born and my parents senior basset hound who we unfortunately lost spring of 2022. I also have experience with giving medications if that is ever needed! I always respect others belongings and will treat your home and pets how I would want mine treated. I like to leave the place looking as it did when I got there and with a happy pet! I am more than happy to take your pups and pets on walks, to the park or just out back to burn some energy!

Mikaela went above and beyond to make sure our pup was at our wedding pictures out of town. He can be reactive and she is so patient and good with him, she is the only rover we use due to how good she is with reactive dogs. Cannot recommend her enough ❤️
