Update as of 7/8/25: I just adopted the sweetest puppy, River! (Also known as Roo or River the Roo because of her huge adorable ears!) She was born in February, is an Aussie/Collie mix, a double Merle rescue pup and blind in one eye. She absolutely LOVES other dogs and is so playful and loving! She is my little best buddy! NOTE: I only take multiple dogs at once if requested/approved by all families! (But will take multiple dogs from one family, of course.) I have a huge fenced in yard (see photo!) for lots of running around / outdoor time, and a very comfortable, cool, and spacious house for relaxing and safe indoor time! ABOUT ME: Hi there! My name is Mikaela and I have been a huge animal lover since I was a little girl. I have grown up with pets (dogs, turtles, horses) and have always enjoyed caring for and spending time with them. In addition to pet-sitting for friends, family, and neighbors, my experience working with animals includes: -Animal Care at Farm Sanctuary in Watkins Glen, NY (caring for rescued animals on the farm, in the hospital, feeding, cleaning, playing, supervising, medicine, loving!) -Volunteer at Animal Protective Foundation in Scotia, NY (various events and shelter work) -Passed my NYS wildlife rehabilitation test, experience in rehabbing/caring for/transporting/releasing injured and orphaned wildlife -Volunteer at National Great Pyrenees Rescue I am originally from NY and primarily worked/lived in NY and CA, but I also travel a bit as a professional actress/singer/dancer. I am currently living in Atlanta and have now been here since 2021, and would love to spend time with your furry (or scaly or feathered!) friends while I'm here! I will happily care for your animals and give them lots of love and attention!
