Mikaela was wonderful! She sent pictures of my dog every day- it was great to see him so well cared for.

I have known Mikaela and her family since she was 3 years old and attended pre-school with my daughter. She was an active member in my Girl Scout troop from age 7-18, which culminated in a 3 week Girl Scout troop trip to Europe. She remains a close friend of my daughter, who is the same age as she. Mikaela has always loved animals and frequently cared for our family golden retriever and watched our house during vacations and trips to visit our daughter at college. She walked our dog, Jack, twice a day for an hour each time. She stayed in our backyard for several hours reading while she waited for Jack to eat his food 2X a day. The dog did not like to eat if he was alone on the property. Jack loved Mikaela's company. She picked up after the dog, played with him, groomed him, administered medication when his ears were infected, provided fresh water twice a day for the dog, and was responsible to keep the backyard gate locked when she left the property. Mikaela also swept the walkways, hand-watered our extensive front and backyard plants, put out/took in trash cans on trash day, and checked on the house - re-setting the alarm code when she left. Mikaela contacted us with updates and photos while we were away. Mikaela is completely trustworthy, reliable, responsible, follows directions, hard-working, caring, self-sufficient and takes initiative, if needed. She majored in animal science and biology at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, a prestigious school for pre-veterinarian students. Summer jobs included working at the zoo. School jobs included being a short-order cook. Mikaela is physically fit, well-liked by all, uses good judgment, and is respectful of others, animals and the environment. I highly recommend Mikaela G. without reservation for pet and/or house sitting.
