I’m currently a veterinary technician with certifications in Low Stress Handling, Fear Free, and RECOVER Basic/Advanced Life Support. I’ve taken care of dogs and cats since I was 4 years old. I have experience with dogs from pit bulls to Yorkshire Terriers. I have worked at a large doggy day care in the past that included basic grooming services and am comfortable cleaning up messes. I provided two of my dogs (Honey and Spot) senior care until it was their time. I love finding different enrichment activities for dogs to enjoy and will happily brush and scratch them to their heart’s content. I definitely like to spoil animals with as much affection they want!

I am experienced in leash training and etiquette, but will follow your wishes on how you’d like your pet to be cared for. I’m very receptive to boundaries and personal preferences as long as your pet is comfortable and safe.

Mika did a fantastic job walking my large, high energy border collie mix while I was out of town! She was excellent at communicating (and taking cute photos of my dog) and my dog loved her right away!
Mika took great care of our two cats! She handled administering multiple medications to one of them, and was able to read their personalities and connect with both of them. We knew the cats were in good hands while we were away!

Mika was absolutely amazing!!! This was our first full night away from the cats in over a year and a half and one cat has stress induced urinary issues. Mika was so great with them. Sent videos and pictures and spent time playing with them! They didn’t have any stress issues at all while we were away!

Schedule
I’m currently working full-time, but have 4 days a week where I have extra time. My schedule is a little bit more limited Monday-Thursday but if you need an early morning walk or evening drop in visit, I can definitely do that.
