Miguel can care for
Availability
I am a full-time second-year Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) student in school Monday-Thursday, so my availability is typically Friday-Sunday. I will try to keep my Rover calendar up to date and communicate clearly ahead of time so there are no surprises. Dog walking fits naturally into my routine as a way to stay active, take study breaks, and support myself during grad school, while giving your dog the attention and care they deserve.

About Miguel V.
Safety, trust & environment
Since I’m currently offering dog walking only, my focus is on keeping your dog safe, comfortable, and secure while out of the home. I follow your instructions closely regarding leashes, harnesses, walking routes, pace, and any behavior considerations. I always use proper leash control, avoid unsafe situations (off-leash areas, aggressive dogs, extreme weather), and stay aware of my surroundings at all times. If I’m entering your home to pick up or return your dog, I treat your space with respect, locking doors, following entry instructions, and ensuring your dog is safely secured before leaving. I never rush walks and adjust each outing to your dog’s energy level, temperament, and comfort. Clear communication is important to me, so you’ll receive updates after each walk so you know how your dog did. Your dog’s safety and your trust are my top priorities on every walk.
Information Miguel V. would like to know about your pet
Before our visit, I’d love to know your pet’s routine, temperament, and any special needs. Please share feeding instructions, leash behavior, energy level, allergies/medications, potty schedule, and anything that helps them feel comfortable (triggers, fears, favorite toys/treats, etc.). The more I know ahead of time, the better I can keep them safe and happy!
A typical day
I love keeping pets happy and engaged! We’ll go on safe walks with plenty of sniff breaks, play fetch or tug (if they’re into it), practice simple commands for fun, and enjoy some calm cuddle time afterward. I always match activities to your pet’s energy level and comfort.

Pet care experience
What sets me apart is that I’ve been around dogs pretty much my entire life. I grew up with two German Shepherds and learned early on how much attention, patience, and responsibility dogs—especially larger breeds—require. Even though I don’t currently have dogs of my own as a second-year Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) student, I’ve continued caring for dogs I know well. I’ve looked after my friend’s Akita and my uncle’s Maltese during extended trips, so I’m comfortable adjusting to different sizes, personalities, and energy levels. Right now, I’m focusing on dog walking only since my home is undergoing renovations. I’m doing Rover alongside school, which means I take each walk seriously, show up on time, and genuinely appreciate the opportunity to care for your dog while also supporting myself through grad school. Your dog will always get my full attention, a safe walk, and plenty of care.
Reviews
Miguel is very caring and attentive with animals! He frequently pet sits for me and my friends' animals, and always ensures the best care is given to them. he has never left us (and our fur babies) disappointed. I highly recommend Miguel as your pet caregiver!
I can’t recommend Miguel enough as a pet caregiver. I’ve known him for a long time, and he is genuinely one of the kindest and most considerate people I know, especially with animals. Animals are naturally comfortable around him because he's patient, gentle, and truly attentive to each pet's unique personality and needs. He treats every pet like his own and always takes the time to make sure they feel safe, happy, and cared for. Any pet would be lucky to spend time with Miguel, and any owner can feel completely confident knowing their pet is in such loving and responsible hands.
I’ve personally dog-sat with Miguel before, by way of friends or family’s dogs. He’s always punctual, follows instructions to a tee, and has an incredible intuition. Having owned several dogs himself, he handles even the most stressful situations with patience and good judgement. He is one of the most caring and genuinely loving people I know when it comes to dogs. He doesn’t just sit there on his phone while ignoring the dog, he is fully present and quickly picks up on each dogs’ unique personalities and needs. He also loves being active, walking, and being outside, but is equally great with pets who prefer to be indoors. I highly highly recommend Miguel as a dog sitter
Miguel is very responsible and has great communication! I have seen how caring and tender he is towards all animals. He definitely takes the time to make sure they are properly cared for.
